Part III
There was a nice concise A5 paperback book with a blue cover out in the 1980s I think from the museum at NW it was very good on the history up to that date
its not from a DB engine as I think they were 3 stud, Jumo 211 4 stud in a square
All that effort not to quite get it right, door looks well odd but may be the photos
Part toooo Kool
Great find very interesting and educational to anyone wishing to fly the old birds.
I do not care how many Spitfires the more the merrier and Hurricanes and anything else I would like to thank all the owner / operators for their dedication and allowing me to see swams I never ever thought would be possible
yeah bloody Spitfires, I would love the money to own one ! a mozzie, now how much = a Mosquito, 2 Spitfires, 3?
Good luck SR as Tony says anything can happen a lot of being right place right time is a great help.
Now in my 60s I can think back about the amount of times I wondered if ever I would get to fly like the airshow boys but its a bit like Snooker you need to get in that top 16 and be noticed.
The younger you start into it the better chance of something happening for you, I say good luck and chase that dream.
oh one thing, obviously there are the chances out there with the right wallet size to fly a Spit from the back seat, Biggin, DX, Goodwood etc and that may also help you feel just how it is.
A great JD photo he does love a cloud in the background and this has worked very well
Mid January and I have seen anything so far this year! my god I would never of thought I would ever of said that October to March was always warbird free months here in the UK how its all changed just look at DX and Biggin with plenty of action and of coure a few out of North Weald
“Anyone on here know where abouts shes heading?”
SYWELL
DUXFORD
or
BIGGIN HILL
for my threepence
Good to see the spread of warbirds into other countries and I am sure here in the UK we will not be short of a P51 for very long when we loose something we seem to get two of something turn up!
I do wonder when MH434 will come up for sale I am sure it will one day need to change hands be great if Lee Proudfoot could take it on. ( tin hat on )
Wow should be good and I will get to see them head south hopefully, cracking idea
That Bruce knows his stuff, obviously had a misspent Yooff it amazes me how quickly the answers are gained here, minutes in fact
