I am guessing this is not the same as what happened here as both obviously collapsed together.
I am guessing they also did a quick rectification on the air intake and checked the rad doors would operate properly
Hats off to those who obviously treated this aeroplane with a lot of respect getting her back on her legs and flight ready for the hop to DX
Yep that will do it, they can wade through that lot instead of one place.
PP in the future you may regret that post !!! :stupid: 😎
Its a shame some of the photos posted in the Duxford thread do not get posted here as in the future someone will have to wade through that thread when it could be here!
Harvard heading S over the A12 Boreham towards Southend ish
EDIT: Looks like its Aero Legends Harvard heading to Headcorn for the Harvard flights today and hopefully PV202 on its way
Also it shows that it must of been a very low speed slow collapse with the engine well throttled back to not damage the radiator cowls or the radiators.
A prop ready to pop on ! shows how good the dedication is to keep em flying
Shake down engine runs obviously going well
Great update again , nice to see Beech 18s back at NW a bit Harvard Formation Team daysish
someone used the Elsan !
Taxi Tests today anyone?
DEEP JOY !
Fantastic news after all these years, well done one and all hopefully I may see her transiting about this summer
Harvard late Sunday evening heading NNE along the A12 around Witham Essex looked like the Hardwick based one but it was a long way off
If I was a betting man and had this week spare I would be spending it at DX as as sure as eggs is eggs that Lancaster PA474 has got a fair chance of getting air between the bottom of her tyres and the runway
I think only one in the flight squawk on transits
Today
P40 Kittyhawk heading N towards Braintree to go around the stansted zone back to DX in the next 10 mins Im guessing
