Thats me !
Sorry Thread Hijack,
Back on AR501
Was the the Spitfire sitting outside on the grass with a Hurricane in the early 70s in PR Blue?
So you wont be looking at any more Lancaster updates on the ARCo Facebook page then?
Brian
Greeat update again https://www.facebook.com/arco/
Well Brian I think it was your goodself that supplied the link, I had tried to find more info but unfortunately it does not come up in google, so once the link was supplied I used it to aid others who like myself do not use it due to what I have previously said.
Aha, I was correct in my assumption that AR501 had not flown since 2006. and all without the aid of FACEBOOK !
Be careful someone will tell you the answer is on FACEBOOK and how stupid you are to ask that question here on an Historic aeroplane forum.
Sorry I cannot help but someone will be along soon to give you the date
In my head I thought it was 2006, but surely its not been that long?
I doubt it had the range there and back but maybe of got lost?
Your wrong Moggs, I simply asked a question that I had put into Google and came up with nothing, asked the question here after.
I just do not need another Store Card
Thought this was a place to ask a question about historic aeroplanes?
Thank you R4118
Om let me explain myself.
To be honest FACEBOOK seems like an ok place but its like having store cards, its another thing to carry around, I am a simple person and this tread I asked a question but because I do not have that Store card I am told to join instead of someone just being polite enough to say, ” oh I just looked on their facebook for you” and it says dah de dah and I like this place as it covers all aspects and not just the one thing I maybe interested in that day.
Thank you to all for the info relieved,,, is it near Christmas yet? Bahh humbug
FACEBOOK Geerrrrrrr.
Im not into wanting to know someone is drinking coffee or taking a dump.
I asked here because I thought I would get an answer but ehy ho, Facebook the biggest graveyard on the planet seems to of taken over peoples minds.
Am I sounding agitated?
Any news from Duxford on progression of PA474 overhaul?
39/49
DUXMAN, I am not sure why but your photos remind me of the Spitfire that was in the Southend Historic Aircraft Museum back in the 70s, the one with the cricket stump marks in the wing, why I do not know.
Great update thank you
WOW !
Hats off Sir, great save
That Ju88 is gorgeous
