Hi Jodie,
As an engineer he may like the old experimental aircraft (example Fairey Delta 1 and 2 TSR2 etc) series of firstday covers which were signed both by the test pilots and the designers/engineers. they go for about £5 to £50 depending on who signed it.
Ebay is a good place to look but there are other sales outlets which are just as good. I’ll pm you with a link
regards and good luck

Hi Anna,
Another set of nice pix from you… Really like the shadows on the HAC Spit V. Guess the Lanc and the York will be entombed by next weekend so envious of your super pix.
maybe see you at legends else Yeovilton?

Does say in the bumph that the museum are willing for it to stay onsite, it’s just that the owner wants to sell on.
If memory serves me right the Sea fury that WOGB had was an FB11 and was ferried back stateside by Mike Wright ie it was a single seater not dual controlled in any way shape or form
WoGB aka Doug Arnold imported the 4 TT20 which were used by the German Airforce (possibly Navy) as Target towers and arrived in an all red colour scheme before being repainted into RN (Korean conflict) colours. Will try and dig out a pic of them all parked outside the Twr at Blackbushe.
Not sure if they all stayed in 2 seat configuration or if they were converted maybe someone on here will remember. G-BCOW Ex ES3615 (mentioned by Stringbag) was coded 252 if i remember rightly. Others were G-BCOV Ex ES3613 G-BCKG Ex ES8509 and G-BCKH Ex ES8502

Hi Les, Many thanks for all the information. I have already been intouch with the ICC and asked a question and gave details of the etchings on the panel but so far not had any reply… guess I should try their forum as well.
regards, Cliff
Thanks for that Les…
Now I’m just wondering if there is a way to try and trace which airframe the panel is from…. I asked the guy I bought it from and he said he had no idea as he has bought it from a guy at an aerojumble.
Thanks Stringbag and Robert for your replies…
As suggested here are the two panels… mine is the one minus the instruments 😉
The pix arent great quality but hope they are sufficent…
regards Cliff
Hi,
Just use the format feature on the camera and all will be well… Honest!
Cliff
here a lot on eBay
Says they are for Piper / Cessna… are these the same for 1950’s UK instruments… thought I was looking for BA type panel screws??
Hope to have some pix up in a couple of weeks.
The first replacement instruments are being repainted where there are a few scratches on the cases but my main problem is getting hold of panel screws to mount them.

Red Arrows in formation with the canberra… Bliss!
they can repeat that at Waddington and RIAT… pretty please!
Just thought i’d mention… I have no dealings with any of the panels listed.. just spotted them here so other cockpiteers / panel lovers could take a look if they had not already seen them.
Cheers Cliff
Daft Question…
Were the TT20 imported by Doug Arnold Dual control as well or did the Germans change this for the target towing function??
