Cliff
Just for interest are there any S4’s left??
Cliff
Les,
For what it is worth 346 had not moved from the reserve hanger at wigram when I last visited (august 04) and is in the same state as Bill’s pix on your site. I suppose the saving grace is that she is under cover and pretty well mothballed so just awaits her turn in the restoration hanger.

Daft Question #2 series of 100000
Anyone know how long the aircraft will be outside for as I need a few pix before they are interned in Airspace for the duration.
Cliff
Martin,
Great shots as always 🙂 are you going later in May as well if so please let me know as I would not mind tagging along…
Steve,
If you look at Martins web site http://www.lowfly.net and all is revealed with maps and photos, well worth the look!

Cliff
Steve… Many Thanks… My old man was one of the first out to Akrotiri in 57 with the Sqn.

Cliff PS will try and dig out a 35Sqn reference for you.. thanks again
Steve, I see you do a 32SQN B6 circa 1966 any chance of a all silver 32Sqn cyprus 1959 or a bassingborne 35Sqn… only ask coz my father flew B2 with 32 and 35 sqn in the 1950’s

(I also remember a few ex Belgian Air Force Pembrokes being resident at Blackbushe just before the B25s arrived for storage.)
The Pembrokes were all sold to the States for conversion to crop sprayers as I recall 😮
At about the same time DA was involved with ex Spanish Airforce CASA 111, DC3/C47, Trojan and the CASA 352s. He was rumoured to have Bucans as well but I never saw them not even in creats. Jumbels the Doberman kept most spotter away from the “aladins cave” that was the hangers at EGLK.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh Happy days 😀
Yep was definatly Blackbushe. Spent many a day of my youth looking at those planes. The B25s were there longer than a year. Doug Arnold bought at least one B25 and did a swap with the RAF museam for a spitfire. The B25 is still on display at Hendon.
Great shots Martin, Sorry I could not join you this time. By the way what size lens were you uing for this trip?? would a 300mm work ok for that location??
regards and looking forward to good weather in wales

After a bit more digging I think there might be a bit of mis identity here.
I think Mark’s TT22 is actually WH803 which was with FRADU coded 856. I think this as I found several vendors of Canberra pics who have examples of both WH803 and WH903 all calling 803 a TT22 and 903 a T11.
Still leaves me with the procedures cockpit problem though… still having a senior moment though!! 😮
I guess your glider is in one of the sheds Vern. will have a look out for it next visit. Just sorry i could not help you out this time 🙁
Cliffair – That’s the museum T.21 Sedburgh which was a contemporaryof the T.31 Cadet.
Thanks David for the information… should have written all these down when i took them 😮
Is this the one per chance??
