Pitty the VC10 is being axed up… spent a few happy hours doing crew conversion training at Bembecular many moons ago now.

The last compleat trident1 being cut up is criminal to my mind but at least part of it will survive.

It’s just really sad to see this happen to these old faithfuls…

Well could be worse… Could be like in France where photography at airports is now an offence…

maybe BAA at EGLL might take an oppertunity to set up proper facilities like at EGCC but some how i doubt it 🙁

Interesting machine in the last pic :D!

Shure is, the autogyro arrived on a trailer, flew for about 30mins then departed on the trailer. It is powered by a subaru Imprezer engine according to the owner.

My problem at present Dave is one of storage as Im moving house in a couple of months also I have great deal to learn so have to start small. Also is the usual hosehold politics. Wife has said yes to the panel so once she has seen how good job ive made and that i need this bit and that bit before you know it a cockpit has appeared 😉

I use the Canon 350D + Canon 70-300 IS USM which is an improved version of the 75-300 USM III.

The Autofocus is fast and the images are sharp using the IS. The IS comes into it’s own in naff light as it allows sharp images a couple of stops down from the none IS lenses. Sorry can’t speak about the sigma APO version or the Nikon versions as I’ve never used the kit.

will post a sample shot a little later.

See review here… some plane pix are here as well

Don’t suppose anyone knows of a Canberra instrument panel going, I figure that if i start small the rest of the cockpit will follow 🙂

Looks a cracker David. I’ve gone through the other thread as suggested by Dave T and i’m more wise as to the true costs and issues as a cockpit owner. I think as has been suggested to me already that starting with a instrument panel is the way forward and take on a full cockpit later on once I’ve got the experience.

Unless there is as bargin that cant be missed comes up 😉
