    Yes that’s exactly right, Daz.

The Thunder beast really moves !!
Mind you the smaller size does give a greater illusion of speed.

Here’s a big “gull-winged wind generator”. Was hard to hang onto my sunnies and camera while taking this shot……. 😮

    Cheers Dave.

The Thunder Mustang’s V-12 even sounded similar to a Merlin, albeit higher-pitched.
Beautifully made and finished, not sure about the colour scheme though…

    Thanks Stieglitz.

Now for something a little different but equally historical was this BEAUTIFUL Brough Superior.
I’m not sure if the planned race between the Bristfit and this took place.
(reinactment of Lawrence of Arabia’s race !!)

This was displayed next to the equally stunning BE-2 restoration

    what was there?

Well out of the WW1 aircraft, there was-
    Airco DH-2
    Pfalz D.111
    Sopwith Camel
    5 x Fokker Dr.1’s
    Bristol Fighter
    Haberstadt D.IV
Didn’t see the Nieuport 24 though.

    WW2 fighters-
    2 x P-40’s
    FG-1 Corsair
    P-51D
    Dakota (genuine WW2 example)
    PBY-5a

    In between wars-
    Staggerwing
    Proctor
    Lockheed 12
    DH-83
    Dragon & Dominie

    Post war
    CJ-6a’s
    Yak-52’s
    Percival Provosts

And also the might “Thunder Mustang”
What a machine that was !!!!

There were a few more but that’s basically it.
