Here’s a chance to redeem myself and post a couple of great F-100 pics courtesy of NASA.
You like these ones, PhantomII ?

I like the Thud too, but what does it have to do with the F-100?

Not trying to be rude or anything. By the way that’s a nice photo of that F-105G you posted.

Sorry P11, didn’t mean to hijack your thread with the F105, I like both of the jets and as they fought alongside each other in ‘Nam, thought I would do a pic.
Maybe I should start a thread dedicated to the Thud also.

As much as I like the “Hun” ,I have to say that to me the “Thud” is far more impressive.

Very much a pseudo-successor to the P-47 , a real Republic product through and through. Big, fast and very tough !!!

Well if it’s true about the government not being involved, then that’s a travesty on it’s own.

Hat’s off to Mr Keefe and all of the other brave RNZAF people who died in WW2 🙁

Actually I’d love to see a pic of the Stirling with it’s cargo-nose open.
I’ve always wondered how they got cargo in there considering it’s a zillion feet off the ground.
    Anyone care to share ??

    Very interesting, Dave.
I also knew nothing about this until today.

Very sad, but a fitting tribute.
It’s great that the government it’s starting to actually look at what NZer’s did during WW2.

    Cheers
