As far as Im aware, XL doesnt fly to Heraklion from Manchetser on Thursdays,(according to Manchester airport charter timetable) but they do on Friday evenings and use 767-300.
I travelled on a MON A320 last year, G-OZBB. It wasn’t leather seating, I think only G-MONX has that, but the seats are comfortable and seat pitch is standard charter, but they are very pleasant aircraft.
Thanks for the replies. We’ve had a letter from Portland confirming that we are on flight TOM3053 that departs MAN at 14:20. I hope it is a 737, as it’ll be a nice change from Airbus A320’s and 757’s.
Personally I don’t really like it. I think it’s abit too bland and basic and looks a lot like a “low cost” livery. I suppose it may grow on me, but I prefer the old one, much more colourful.
I flew on G-OZBB to Palma this summer. I think you found the legroom less on G-MRJK becuase on ‘BB, you had row 6 which has extra legroom (first 10 rows of Monarch A320/321’s are extra legroom by 5 ” or so).
I think the blue gives the current livery a fuller feel, the new one looks quite empty, although Im sure it will grow on me.

Ive just had a look, BA priced the route from gatwick as £178 on the dates youv’e chosen, but Heathrow is more at £232. Its still a good fare for business.
You will probably have a movie shown because of the length of the flight to the canaries, as my mate had a movie on a 3 hour flight to greece. I don’t know what movie will be shown, but you could email excel and ask.
