Slight (?) thread drift, but a conspiracy theory nonetheless…
The tinfoil-hatted tw@ttery has started already with regard to MH017; see this link.
Clearly, the people who write this garbage haven’t a clue about air crashes, and have no respect for the innocent victims of this atrocity.
GO BUZZ! :applause:
A belated “Happy Birthday” to you, Moggy! :very_drunk: Twenty-one again?! 😉
Hope you had a good day.
All the best,
Don
Depends how I depart this life…
If I die in a fire (probably saving some other poor sod), it’d probably read:
“Here lies Don Bryans, the toast of Long Eaton.”
Or the current favourite:
In VERY small lettering:
“Get off my grave, you nosy ****.”
…There was only one ultimate washing powder that lived up to the promise, but they withdrew it because it destroyed your clothes in the process.
Well, at least your clothes would always have that “new” look (because they would be!). :highly_amused:
I hate Brand. He’s made a career out of talking Class A bolleaux VERY LOUDLY.
What annoyed me today was a family member posting Britain First garbage on Facebook; a photo of a poppy exhorting us to remember the Fallen.
I don’t need to spell out the irony of this…:stupid:
100 kmh? In a built-up area? Near a school bus?
Words fail me. I hope the Police throw the whole damn library at her. A totally avoidable RTC.
You expect something like this (or you should) when driving near schools, school buses, etc, and you drive accordingly, i.e. slowly and with care.
Not go “bombing along” at 62 mph. 😡
R.I.P. to the lad.
Today’s blood-pressure raisers:
– The work colleague who didn’t complete his tasks yesterday, leaving the next mug (me) to clear up the mess that he should have dealt with.
– The tw@t in the white van who seemed to think that just because there was a cycle track next to the road I should have been on it… After he’d hooted at me, and indicated by pointing at said cycle track, I subsequently caught up with him at the next set of lights (I can still make a MTB shift!), and using a few choice words, explained to him the relevant points of the Highway Code, suggesting to him that he read it. He drove off in a huff without saying a word.
As for the Salvation Army, I’d rather give my money to an organisation… …that doesn’t condemn homosexuality.
Well said, Harper. (Apologies – I altered your quote slightly!)
I do donate to a few charities (goods as well as cash); the rather pleasant young lady that accosted me in Derby recently was happy that hers was one of them.
Monday 2 September, 16:55… An unusual whistle caused me to look skyward and comment to my partner, “If I didn’t know better, that’s a 727.”
A check on FR24 revealed it to be 2 Excel Aviation’s B727-2S2F G-OSRB, on its way to Humberside from Lasham.
Sure. The pilot was Flying Officer B G Hooper.
Ossington – You are, of course, correct.
(The joys of posting after a long day…!)
We have visited and recorded that Blenheim site…
I have now amended the post title and text.
paulmcmillan – Both persons on board survived the crash.
This incident has fascinated me for years.
It is quite difficult to find reliable information on this, although there seems to be rather a lot on the various tinfoil hat websites…
It would be good to find definite answers to what happened to Meyer and his Herc, however, the English Channel is positively littered with wreckage. The words “needle” and “haystack” seem to be somewhat of an understatement…
Nonetheless, I wish Simon and his team the very best of luck on their expedition.
Looks like the top of a Messerschmitt Bf.110 rudder.
Definitely not from a Battle.
I forgot to add that the model (along with the model of Lancaster W4103) will be on display in Flintham Village Hall on 13:11:2016.
