I’ve heard tell that the GSM B767 lease to Air India will put the mockers on the B767 routes out of GLA.
They’ll be using a B738 via Bangor!. Story I heard was that Air India made an offer flyglobespan couldn’t refuse.
Cheers Deano. That seems to be just the job

With regard to ‘around aircraft’, how about better training for ground crews in light of the growing number of ground equipment collisions with aircraft that seem to be growing at an alarming rate.

The guy recognised that he had a problem and quite rightly sought medical help. I do however question the response of being prescribed drugs and being allowed to carry on as normal with his profession. Fortunately, there are guidelines within the medical realm which prevent individual cases being discussed, and as such we will probably never know the answer to the point I am raising.
I accept what you say but my point is what was the pilot told regarding possible side effects to the drugs he was prescribed for his illness, and was he warned about the POSSIBLE consequences of taking such medication.
Is there also not procedure in place whereby crews must advise their company medical providers if they are taking prescribed drugs? Perhaps there is someone on around here who is more informed in such matters who is in a position to educate.
What about the actions of the doctor who prescribed the medication knowing the profession of his patient?
Yup, it was French AF A340-211 F-RAJB c/n 081

Is it still the case that regardless of the company or a/c concerned, loaded passenger a/c doors must only be opened from the inside and never by ground crew from the outside, unless they have specific instruction that the door is disarmed?
OMG! I am really shocked at this. BA cONNECT IS NO MORE?
What do guys think?
Carefull. The opening paragraph clearly staes:
‘Flybe announces that it has reached agreement in principle with British Airways whereby it will acquire British Airways’ BA Connect regional airline business, subject to a number of conditions precedent including the completion of due diligence’
It is NOT a done deal yet, and as such the thread title is a little missleading.
what caused damage like that? heavy landing or just one of them things?
Two theories going around (and I stress theories). The first being a heavy landing. The second suggesting that whilst under towing, the a/c was turned too tightly which caused undue stress on the landing gear leg in question resulting in the crack.
G-WWBM is very poorly, and spares are an issue. Not due to return to service until Jan 07 now

Very true indeed, but they could have given someone else the oportunity of operating the a/c rather than putting them in situations whereby they become useless. .That action was a wicked waste of technology. BA still technically own them to stop anyone else getting their hands on them. Speaks volumes to me that!
Airbus pulled manufacturer support which is why it was grounded……………….
Not entirely it seems!!!!!! 😡
