The Merlins Over Malta team is looking forward to seeing MH434 flying over Malta in September continuing the legacy we started with the project back in 2003.

Reading your comments here, seven years down the line, is extremely heart-warming and as we did then, we still appreciate everyone’s support.

We will be at the Malta Air Show in September to once again enjoy the classic sound of a Merlin over Malta (even though we won’t be flying it!)…

I have been asked to post the below.

    Glenn

A ‘Celebration of the life of Sqd Ldr Mahinder Singh Pujji’ event will be at 7.30pm Tues 28 Sept at The Studio (rear of school car park), Holy Trinity School, Trinity Road, Gravesend, DA12 2PG. At this informal event, there will be the opportunity for short tribute speeches from family, friends and organisations, a photo display and light refreshments.

All are welcome – if you wish, please contact (by email keith.wyncoll@hotmail.co.uk 07766028608 or Satinder Pujji 07958787578) to indicate your attendance and or that you may be interested in sharing a few words. However, we understand that given the short notice most people will just arrive on Tuesday evening and will welcome any last minute contributions.

Yes great pictures. All the pilots seem to keep an eye on you. Did you use a red light on top of your lens?

No! Just yellow jackets in the middle of the field!

It was definitely TE566, but I believe it was John Romain flying it and not Charlie.

I did recognise Clive in one of the pics…

No… It’s not me! Mum asked if it was too!

    Merlins Over Malta update

    Dear All,

This seems like a good opportunity to announce that Merlins Over Malta have handed over the remaining funds left over from the project to the following organisations.

    • Flying Scholarships for the Disabled

      [*]The Mark Hanna Research Fellowship

      [*]Children in Need

      [*]Malta Aviation Museum

The Merlins Over Malta team (Clive, Linda, Glenn, Howard, Derek and Vic) would like to thank the readers of FlyPast for the support they offered us by donating to the fund and for buying the Corgi sets, Gerald Coulson prints and the other items that we sold to raise funds.

Once again, thank you for your support and enjoy Charlie’s account of his contribution to the project.

I believe Canada originally had two Hinds to build a complete one from but, in the end, didn’t need the second and disposed of it?

It ended up here – HAWKERHIND.co.uk

I’d get in there quickly if you want one. We really do not have many left now.

The aircraft is being rebuilt. Here are some photos taken a couple of years ago when the fuselage was at the Vintage Fabrics workshop
