Just watched my DVD for the second time…(I know I know but TV is trash! 😮 )
I think its only really just dawned on me that this project was truely unique, I cant think of anything similar that has ever been attempted, all this the effort of a handful of people…Thing is, will we ever see its likes again? 🙁
Thanks Russ!
Watched it on Thursday – fantastic stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it!
A year ago yesterday the aircraft arrived back at Duxford (as seen in the closing credits of the DVD 🙂 )

A year ago today…
At this time (15:30), exactly a year ago today (14th September)…
A Spitfire, a Hurricane and a Cessna 303 departed Duxford heading for the Mediterranean island of Malta.

(thanks Nick for the photos!)
Thank you to everyone on here who helped us!
Glenn and the rest of the MoM team…
Hi Colin,
Every DVD that had been pre-ordered went in the post this morning.
Hopefully it will get to you tomorrow.
Glenn
Thanks Russ!
It has been a lot of hard work, but I think it has turned out very well.
We do not have many left so if anyone wants one, order a copy soon before we sell out – http://www.merlinsovermalta.com/dvd

Thank you everyone for the kind comments. I am making sure that the whole team looks at this thread.
Even though the project was “completed” in September, we are still working daily on the this. The DVD is coming along very nicely. The bits I have seen do bring a lump to the throat.
We are no longer having our usual tent at any of the Duxford Air Shows. At Legends, we will be guests of the Hurricane Society in their tent opposite the control tower.
Many thanks for your support!

Jeff Hawke flying the B-17 at Barton in1979
Dad was crew chief on this flight and said this was Don Bullock flying at Barton. Dad said Jeff Hawke didn’t fly the B17 post 1975.
however sadly the type I miss possibly most is the dear old Dragon Rapide lost with Peter Treadaway at North Weald.
It was Audley End…
The Red Sparrows
A number of you may have seen the Chipmunk Formation Team at Boxted, Rougham and Woodchurch last year, The team was nicknamed “The Red Sparrows” and they were described as the best new display act at the recent CAA Display Pilots Seminar.

The team is Howard Cook, Clive Denney, Chris Harper and Ian Davies.
If any of you are interested in having the team at your event to mark the 60th Anniversary of the Chipmunk please get in contact with me and I shall put the team in contact with you.
Thanks
Glenn
