The Malta Aviation Museum will definitly be worth visiting in September. The Museum are planning to open their new Air Battle of Malta Hangar and their Hurricane should be complete for this event. If all goes well, the Merlins Over Malta Spitfire and Hurricane will fly over the museum to officially open the new facility.
For details of what is planned in Malta during September visit The Merlins Over Malta September 2005 webpage
Not Mustangs but we have some prints for sale in the Merlins Over Malta shop.

After reading some of the comments posted in this thread, I thought I would make a few comments.
The Merlins Over Malta team are working in partnership with the Imperial War Museum at Duxford to stage this event. The IWM are contributing with their very considerable input and event expertise, contacts and with all the ancillaries that are needed to put on such a day; police, toilets, museum assistants and much more besides. Without the IWM’s help, we would not be able to put on an event of this nature.
This day will technically be a “normal” day at Duxford. The entrance fee is the standard price and the opening times are as normal but with the added value of the Malta event giving more to visitors for their money. The Merlins Over Malta team will not be getting any gate money from the day. What we are getting is the support of a world class aviation museum. The only money that will go towards the Merlins Over Malta appeal on the 9th of May will be monies raised from the generous support of the public who donate to the appeal at the event and donations from our event participants such as the Spitfire Society, CCB etc.
Come along and support us, so that we can make what started out as a dream for the Maltese People become a reality in 2005. By attending the commemorations to mark the liberation of the Island, you are paying tribute to the islanders, all those who defended them during the Second World War and their courage and sacrifice.
Hopefully we will see many of you at Duxford on the 9th
Thank you for you support!
