I guess we’ll have to split te cash then!!! Thanks buddy!
I was petrified of flying until three years ago, I had the same unhealthy obsession with it as I do now, but getting on an aeroplane was something I never really looked forward to, but just doing it continually got me over it and now I’m doing it everyday!!
Businessmen pretending they know it all and telling those they are travelling with things that are obviously wrong and they obviously don’t know a thing about, but it makes them feel important and wise. In fact, businessmen on aircraft in general get on my nerves, especially those who try and catch me out when they’re talking to me about my ATPL training.
Sandy you’re a star mate!! Could you flatten it and send it to me as a bmp? Not really bothered about door config, just make sure it has some decent PW engines!!! 🙂
Cheers buddy!
Welcome to the forums buddy, look forward to some great discussion. Hope you enjoy our thrashing of France as well!!! 😉
Martin because it’s my name!!! EGTK because it’s the ICAO code for Oxford, my home town and the airport at which I’m studying for my ATPL.
Allen, afraid I didn’t get a reg for the a/c but ’twas indeed a 737-500! Landed about 1220 and departed around 1315.
Seems you were at GLA exactly the same time I was. I was flying out with BA to Gatwick at 1235 which got delayed until about 1345. It was a 735. Pitty I’ve not be able to access the forums, would’ve loved to have joined you guys!
Thanks for clearing up who was on the royal flight as well, I sat in the departures lounge somewhat perplexed!
Great photos as ever Allen!!
Well done Tom! Here’s to the next 2000!
Here here, Ian you’re one in a million, a top chap, always willing to help anyone. Good luck with everything and see you up there mate!
Interflug, you are indeed correct, I find it sad that us wannabes have to aspire to such carriers, but as you say, it’s a launch into the industry, and at the moment any way in must be taken!
I just want to give my opinion from a wannabe’s point of view. When I leave flight school next year with my brand new fATPL as sad as it is Ryanair along with easyJet will be one of my first ports of call for a job. I’ll make this move, not because I love Ryanair, but because they are one of the only chances for me to get a decent big jet job. The pilots job market is most certainly picking up, but there is still a massive surplus, the likes of Ryanair sadly can treat their staff as they like, we, as low hours pilots have no choice.
God I’m begging that easyJet will take me on, but otherwise I very much suspect that I may well be flying for MOL next year.
Excellent photos Allen! Great meeting all you guys, only just got back from Edinburgh now! Ended up staying with my EZY friend a lot longer than expected!!
Had a fantastic time anyway, just sorry I had to rush off so quickly.
Happy birthday Peter, hope you’ve had a good day!
Yep, just to confirm I’ll be there on Monday too.
