6 years old way back in 1992 flying from Heathrow to Prague with BA, can’t remember what aircaft though, if anyone could help me with that I’d be most grateful!
Suprised to see that BA are flying to Prague from Gatwick, when did they announce the route? Is it in addition to the Heathrow services?
I have to admit some of the CRM does seem to be just a bit too politically correct for my liking! Sitting in silence for a 9 hour flight accross the pond seems like the only viable option!
Everyone has their beliefs, I personally am a Christian, BUT, and this is a huge but, personal beliefs have no place on the flight deck, this guy probably intimidated a lot of the passengers on the flight and made everyone feel very uncomfortable, especially the rest of the crew who probably have to fly a few more sectors with him throughout the day.
I’ve spent 13 hours of the last month at Oxford Aviation Training studying CRM (Crew resource management) and at the top of the no-no list is inflicting your personal opinions on others, this guy certainly deserves some form of punishment, maybe a few months studying CRM in a classroom! That will stop him if nothing else does!!!
I don’t see how they can be wrong if the airport is willing to pay for them.
Dusseldwarf, I’m with you on this one mate. They provide an excellent service and afterall if the airports agree to pay Ryanair to fly to their facilities that’s the airports decision. I don’t agree with some of their operating practices and despite the fact we have recently been approached by Ryanair I’m not too keen on sitting in the right hand seat for them. But they provide a service and that’s fair enough, and thanks to them I’ve travelled all over Europe, 42 times last year, something I’d never have been able to do before hand.
No where near as good as the current one.
JetMagic had one of the best liveries around and excellent service, I was going to book a flight online from LCY to ORK in the next few days with them, it’s a real shame.
Latest news from Oxford is that there was a major meeting today between the airport management and an undisclosed party believed to be Hop. Rumours have been flying around at OAT all day about it, I can’t confirm that the meeting had anything to do with the airline, but fingers crossed eh?
wys, it certainly is the type of airline I’d love to start with, who knows 🙂
There have been many rumours going round at OAT today about this new airline. It actually sounds surprisingly promising! They are apparently looking to utilise smaller airports like Oxford and Cambridge to provide quicker alternatives to trains, now there’s no way I can confirm this and it probably is just rumours but I dare say an airline that did operate in such a way using smaller airports may well succeed where so many others have failed.
They are also said to be in talks with us at OAT about taking some of us on a first officers!!!
I’m a friend of Frank, the creator of Airline and I know he’d be devastated if someone were to copy his software. You should be ashamed of yourself brenmcc1. Frank works longs and hard to meet everyone’s requests for the simulation, he answers almost all requests for things to be added to the game, if you have a clear concuss about stealing software than that’s very sad.
It’s probably one of the 737-400s Ryanair has leased from Islandflug to make up for the 732s that had to be prematurly retired last year. The aircraft are on short term lease until more 738s are delivered.
That livery looks fantastic on the A330! Good luck to them.
Very funny! Thanks for that Sandy, I’ve spent my whole day looking at these charts, it’s nice to finally look at one I understand!!
