Sure, that’s sound great and it’s very clear for BAA! I’ll get it up by the weekend!
Funnily enough I was thinking of that as well!
Has anyone got any ideas for a name for the web site? I’m going to start work on it this evening. I can’t do too much until the weekend because I have my final stages of pilot selection this week, but I will endeviour to get it online and looking respectable ASAP.
I’ll get something set up then, I have plenty of space on my servers so money is no problem really. Let’s show BAA how many people actually care about and use these viewing facilities!
Andrew I do some web design…two of my sites:
http://www.elationairways.co.uk
http://www.ematchsims.co.uk
I’d be very happy to get a site up and running if everyone is serious about this!
Isn’t the LCY-EDI route already massively served with about 12 rotations a day?
Afraid not. I was really hoping that I’d get one of an Aer Lingus A330 as I saw one last time I was there but didn’t get a picture because my camera had been stolen, hopefully next time I’ll get one.
The best I’ve ever had was on BA when I was flying out to Philadelphia in December last year. Lovely lasagna, went down like a treat! The worst was on a MyTravel DC-10 coming back from Lyon last year it contain string beans which had been boiled to hell!!!
Thanks guys! Andrew I’m afraid I’m about to make you even more jealous as there was not just one, but two EAL 742s at Gatwick yesterday 🙂 The other was parked over in the maintenance area and was also wearing the old livery, this time with the blue strip. Furthermore last time I was at Gatwick in July I was also lucky enough to see an EAL 742 wearing the new livery!
I think there is certainly a lot to see at Liverpool, but as you say Charleroi is likely to be quite dull, but I’ll wait and see. Like I said I’m afraid I didn’t get a chance to go and see if there was anywhere better to go and watch the aircraft, sorry about that.
I had to go and check in again, but, yes the photos were taken after I had passed through security for my flight back. I first visited in June when I flew Stansted-Blackpool-Dublin-Stansted, I’d really recommend it, it’s a great airport!
I’m going to be doing Stansted-Brussels (South!)-Liverpool-Dublin-Stansted next month which should make for a very interesting (and long!) day!
Ryanair’s WOMEN (!!! :D) are extremely good looking women on the whole, especially the Irish ones!! Why else do you think people put up with landing 90 miles away from their real destination 😀
Thanks for the EAL info. wannabe pilot, I use a very bog standard off the shelf digital camera, a Fujifilm FinePix 2600Zoom. It’s nothing special, only does 2.0 Mega Pixels and 3x Zoom, but it meets my requirements.
I did indeed just go to Dublin for the day to go spotting, as you may know I’m in the middle of my Oxford Air Training Selection process and so I decided I needed a day off studying and panicking just to relax and have a good time.
All the photos I took in Dublin are taken through windows in the terminal (airside). I didn’t really get a chance to go and have a look outside of the terminal for good spots as my flight back left only 4 hours after I landed!
They’re nothing spectacular but I hoped you’ve enjoyed them.
This was the best shot I could get of the aircraft I flew back on, as I said earlier, it’s the newest addition to the fleet.
