I’ve never actually visited either Exeter or Bournemouth, they are both on my ‘to do’ list. What are they like, I know Exeter has recently built a new departure lounge. Did you manage to get any snaps 🙂
Sure will 🙂
Apparently JetMagic have taken an ERJ 145 as well so that they can operate additional flights. This would certainly be the answer the registration.
By the way if there are any flight simmers in the forum, I’ve just completed an AI package for JetMagic and it will be available in the unofficial files section at http://www.projectai.com in the next few days.
Thanks for that A330! It looks pretty good, I’m pretty interested in the smaller airports that are under used in the UK such as Bournemouth, Newquay, Exeter, Norwich and Blackpool, so I saw the new Ryanair service as a great chance to go and take a look round. I’ve visited Blackpool many a time but I’ve always been taking part in national Fencing competitions so I’ve never had the opportunity to take a look at the airport.
I’m also hoping to travel down to Newquay with RYR at some point this summer.
Fantastic! Yet another aircraft to tick off the list. I’ll make sure I post the photos when I get back. Thanks for your help.
yeah that’s what I heard as well. I think it would be a good move for them, they could also get rid of some of the BAe 146-200s that they have been trying to lay off for a while.
Surely the ERJ170/190 would be more sutible for the likes of flybe. At least they will be cleared for London City. We’ll what and see I guess.
The only time I;ve ever flown on a DC-10 was with Airtours and just as you say it was called out from Manchester to Lyon on standby after our Monarch A300 failed to turn up from Gatwick due to going tech.
I was pretty impressed with it at the time (and this was only Feb. last year), but there was a distict lack of PTVs or any real form of in flight entertainment. But for such an old bird she was very graceful.
I believe they hope to start operations from LCY in July so they’d better speed the process of if they want to get the route going in time 🙂
I like it, they look like a very promising airline. Any news on the ERJ 135 being cleared for EGLC (London City)?

Kenneth, I agree with your point completely. However, I think if Richard Branson were to get hold of some of the aircraft the press would suddenly do a U-turn and declare Concorde a triumph once more due to Virgin’s good PR!
Having said that I would love Virgin to get hold of the aircraft, just to keep it flying, and it would look great in that c/s!
This seems completely wrong. I have several friends who are based at EGLL with BA and I wonder what the effect of this will be on them.
We are lucky here in Oxford to have a 24 hour bus service that runs every 30 minutes, but what about those who live in villages or have too much to carry to take public transport, it seems totally unreasonable.
Well it’s confirmedd now. BA are to retire theirs in October, Air France next month. It’s a sad day.
Well the BBC ended up scrapping their coverage on the Concorde Story on the one o’clock news for the war in Iraq.
There appears to be nothing more on the BBC web site, so it does indeed seem that this is just another case of scare mungering…….damn press.
If you turn on BBC 1 there is a story about Concorde on the One O’Clock news, it will be on at about 13:15 probably after all the Iraq news is finished.
