I’d be keen to acquire any ‘bits’ left, purely for sentimental value. I have acquired a few (very small) bits and bobs from former Southend museum exhibits over the years for my personal collection.

Who is scrapping/parting out the rest of the airframe? Anyone have contact details?

I could let you have the contact details if you can email me. I am new to the Forum and not sure how to set this up. Please advise.

    Regards G-AGPGPORT

Good to see part of it saved & look forward to seeing this project progress – I recall being seriously shouted at for looking at her through a gap in the hangar doors whilst visiting Hooton park several years ago – we were not trying to gain access – just looking through a 4″ gap, but even that wasn’t permitted apparently.

Who is breaking her up? would be interested in an engine cowling set as I believe they are the same as would have been on G-ARDG, which I now own -I would really love a static Cheetah for her as well, but suspect that’s way out of my budget at the moment.

I have the Cheetah 17 port engine for restoration as posted in a new thread a couple of days ago. I also have the cowls for that engine to be used in the restoration. The starboard engine was sold at the same time but I don’t believe the cowls went with it and may still be available. They were in pretty good condition.

Thanks for the welcome. Parts must be out there, it’s just a case of finding them.
