The man on the moon debate is another entire discussion on its own and probably one it’s best not to engage in here! Without doubt we’ve put man in space which I think is quite a remarkable achievement.

Great inventions:

The telescope – It’s been fundamental to our quest to venture beyond our own world and discover who and what we actually are.

The steam engine – It revolutionised industry, revolutionised transport and paved the way to the internal combustion engines we know today. Wonderful invention.

The internet – It’s transformed how we receive information and how we communicate, and it’s quite difficult (for me at least) to imagine a world without it.

Cheers Jim. She’s well looked after but as you can see to the left there are a few fairly hefty chips in the finish, although this is just a part of being played and gigged. Some people keep their instruments almost as ornaments, polishing them every time they’re touched. There’s nothing wrong with that, but my basses are tools; very beautiful tools, but nonetheless still tools and they’re there to be used so the occasional chip in the finish doesn’t bother me. If I get a knock in the back of the neck though that irritates me a bit because it affects how well it actually plays but thankfully the back of the neck on this beauty is absolutely perfect. There’s a reasonable amount of money there, that particular bass cost £749 when new 8-9 years ago but my main bass cost almost twice that! It’s a beauty though. 🙂

The photo by the way is just a quick snap with my 350D and the EF-S 18-55 IS I mentioned in the PM. It just had some sharpening, a bit of noise reduction as it was taken at ISO 800 and a bit of a fiddle in PS to get the slight vignette effect. Took about 30 seconds all in all (I’m lazy and don’t like spending masses of time per image editing!) 🙂
