MR 2,
Unfortuantly I disagree with you as an air cadet I try to get involved in aviation whenever I can. Square bashing is not my favourite piece but it has to be done. At Henlow we were greeted with open arms and recieved alot of praise during the period of the camp. The ATC is getting smaller and we need people to show us the way and people who are helpful to the cause. This will most likely be my last year in the corps as I turn 18 February. Unfortunatly due to other commitments in my life im running out of companies/aviation groups to approach about work and I really dont want to loose out. The ATC has boosted my knowledge of aircraft and with thanks to the RAF helped me choose a suitable career path.

I will now be there hopefully. Have got the time off work to go and pay my respects to Steve.

I know this photo has appeared many times now but I feel it has a place here.
The panel came from the TFC hangar so I wasnt sure Possibly maybe the firefly although the Yellow is a bit to light. I thought it may have come of Princess Elizabeth.
Henlow is a treat. Great camp go if you can.
Becka,
Thanks very much for restoring this thread the clean part of it allows us to remember a good friend.
No problems Snapper. He has left us in body but not in spirit.
No problem EN830.
This has really brought me down to earth. I have just returned from RAF Henlow and found out about this. I really enjoyed speaking to Steve. He was a great guy and will truely be missed here. My deepest sympathy to Julie, Haydn and family. Will be raising a glass of Spitfire in tribute to him this evening.
RIP Steve and farewell.
