The moaner returns along with sweeping statements! For your particular choice of flight dates and times Eastern Airways were probably more and ‘rediculously high’. Look at flights at peak business times and the difference will be less – maybe £20-30 more. My wife flies from LBA-SOU with Eastern as the slight difference in price is well worth it – she catches the early flight which leaves at 6.55am. I take her to the airport. She saves her company the mileage in getting to MAN (£60) and car parking whilst at MAN – £4-5 per day plus she can leave home 90 minutes before the flight and not three hours to allow for any M62 nightmares.

The angle of the photo and lack of any references makes the plane look small. It looks like an A318 with an extra level!

There are plenty of counter arguments that Boeing subsidise their aircraft to secure lucrative military orders. I suppose all this keeps the lawyers in business.

Must agree – LBA to Germany. My wife is off to Frankfurt tomorrow – LBA-AMS then AMS-FRA as an alternative to a very early trek over the Pennines to MAN!

Try believing MAN is just down the road from Leeds at 8 o’clock in a morning! If that was an argument LBA wouldn’t exisit as MAN serves all destinations currently served by LBA. If I left Leeds now (8.10am) it could take me up to two hours to do the 60 miles trip to MAN. I’ve done the LCY flight from MAN and I had to leave Leeds at 6am for a 9.30am flight to ensure I missed all the traffic.

Not many passengers using Jet2 at LBA travel over the Pennines – most prefer to use MAN or Liverpool.
