PAKISTAN AIR FORCE F-5’s

in 2007, it seemed impossible to find photo’s of such F-5’s …!
and indeed, I could find only this (bad) painting !
from ;http://www.pafmuseum.com.pk/historic-events/1971-war/F-5-Arrives-in-Pakistan.htm
(and, if I remember well … they were used in fact AFTER that war … )
maybe YOU have better views ? …

Etienne
translated by Google -from Dutch ;
article in “luchtvaartnieuws.nl” :
Successful landing on Chinese aircraft carrier demands life ‘
BEIJING – The first successful landing of a jet on the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning life seems to have required a high official. He died of a heart attack, possibly from excitement. Luo Yang was responsible for the development of the Shenyang J-15.

IDF’s IRON DOME
see more about that incredible “shield” ;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Dome (updated today, of course !)
& also ยง 7.5 : Pillar of Defense …
the system seems fantastic… theorically..!
but in the war context & stress ๐ (certainly not easy to use )
let’s hope “the best” will win…’as usual’ (I’m sure so ๐ )

Chinese gliders ?
Hello, Dear Readers,
it’s my first ‘step’ in your ‘Chinese pages’, & don’t know thus the contents of
the previous 30 pages of this thread , nor of the former 14 ones..
Being also a fan of military gliders worldwide (mainly of ‘Air Cadets’), I search some info & pics of Chinese ones,
(PLAAF or other organizations..)
After ‘googeling’ many times, I’ve found really few; some museum views of a Jiefang-9, and this -bad- view of a Jaskolka
(from scalesoaring.co.uk) ;
(the enlarged view is not better !)
but… is the star under the wing not a Russian one ?
And, mainly the ‘proof’ that some other ones still exist (from worldairforces.com) ;
Xiangji
(Glider)
X-5A
X-7 Jian Fan
X-9
X-10
X-11
Maybe YOU know more about this subject…
if so, please tell me !
friendly yours,
Etienne
A fine in-flight view of a modern DC-3 !
&, in a modern color scheme ;

(future) BELGIAN NH-90’s …
(concerning your post # 944 in this same forum)
Thanks for your p.m.-reply, Nils.
Indeed, it was a NHI -publicity view (also published in our excellent BAF-website; http://www.mil.be/aircomp ) <<<
but of ‘a’ version without markings… nor Belgian ones !
Maybe (let’s hope..) our official colors will be so ;

let’s wait & see ! (till the end of this year ?)

SYRIAN (?) Mig’s….
Indeed, you are right !
it’s a mistake…!
SORRY, then ๐
but let me show you where I’ve found it
(maybe I was too quick…) ;
it’s (only) the second time I read wrong info about Syrian mil a/c ;
remember the defected Mig-21 ; see in this forum on page 3, post # 67 !

Syrian Mig-29
thanks for your p.m.-reply, Ingo.
Your Mig-29’s-website is really intereresting !
Even your ‘wanted’ countries are well represented…
except, the Syrian ones… seem difficult to find !
but this one; (with Google) ;

and, also, a little bit fantasy, ๐
( a less-known one !);

this (?) photo was published -I think so- many years ago, in a similar forum >>> by gkozak <<<
but I don’t remember when it was, ( & cannot find it again with the search-system..)
&… IF it was really the SAME view as this one ….
could you help me, please,
friendly yours,
Etienne
ROUNDELS…. continued !

the site proposed in the previous post is … not bad !
but I had some surprises ; Angola, e.g. !
and some are missing : the new ones of Montenegro, South-Sudan, etc…
Here is another site (updated in … 1996 ๐ )
http://cocardes.monde.online.fr (also in English)
Maybe the next presented site will be THE perfect one ? !:)

AIR FORCES OF THE WORLD

Well, after comparing the many pages of GERARD’s website with my -also-many ‘papers’, I can conclude -temporarily ?-
for the number of existing Air Forces.
The first question is, of course, how many countries do exist ?
The reply is “evident” ; 195 !
At first, the 193 members of the U.N. ;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Member_states_of_the_United_Nations
+ Taiwan + Vatican
Right ๐ ?
OK !:)
Some (17)(mini-) countries don’t have any military aircraft;
Andorra, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San-Marino, Vatican, Sao-Tome & Principe, Bhutan, East-Timor,
Kiribati, Marshall-Islands, Micronesia, Nauru, Palau, Samoa, Salomon-Islands, Tuvalu, Vanuatu
All comments are welcome !!
And these 7 Caribbean islands may be considered as having -individually- no own ones ; http://www.vi.ngb.army.mil/html/J5_J7/rss.html
THUS 171 countries have an Air Force
And this may be an appeal to the AFM Editor ;
Your previous roundels-poster was of 2000, ; don’t you think it’s time to consider the possibility of a newer ‘2012’ edition ??
It would be great !
Sincerely & friendly yours,
Etienne
AIR FORCES ROUNDELS
