No link but the sequence is also shown in one of the recent PAF music videos. I can’t remember which.

The reason why PAF is going for Damocles despite having the WMD-7 integrated & in limited use (a PAF video of a strike on TTP showed WMD-7 symbology) is it’s limited detection range of 13 km. Experience with the Sniper has shown how valuable identifying targets at considerably longer ranges(a few seconds more may mean a clean strike vs collateral damage for example) via FLIR is. Since the Sniper can’t be integrated on to the Thunder, Litening is verboten, what is the next best option PAF has for the JF-17?

Regardless of the incident, Alam did end up as the Subcontinent’s only ace as his tally of confirmed kills exceeds 5. Now the question is whether it was Ace in a Day/Mission or simply Ace.

I suggest getting in touch with Air Commodore M. Kaiser Tufail retd of the PAF either on Faceebook or his blog Aeronaut. He is an ex GDP & courtesy insider status has written incisively on PAF’s combat history without embellishments. He would be able to give you the best insights IMO.

First official acknowledgement. Burraq & Burq combo has been in sporadic use since autumn 2013.

New videos released by The Directorate Media Affairs Pakistan Air Force. A lot of good air-air footage & if you watch them closely answers to some questions posters have been posting here.

    The best one so far

Last One as the rest have imagery repeated from these 4.

I see Dieno has posted it already. No 2 Squadron PAF at Masroor AFB is replacing its F-7Ps with Block-2 JF-17s. Though not explicitly stated but expect a maritime role to complement the No.8 Squadron Haider’s Agave Mirage Vs.

Will share the links when all have been put up. Probably on the 7th. Every day at least one or two new recruitment or music videos are being put up & the quality of the aerial photography & filming is beautiful.

He must’ve head banged hard. Explains the punchy behaviour. Anyhow the new videos being released on Aperture Sensation page are sheer beauties.

Black Archer with regards to K-8 & JF-17 development & how Pakistan was involved “You know nothing Jon Snow”.
A design team of 30 PAF engineers was part of the K-8 project from inception.
My uncle & about 90 odd PAF engineering & design personnel weren’t shuttling between Chengdu & Pakistan from 2000-2009 for shytes & giggles.
We wanted an aircraft over whose design & development we had control. The PAF not only specified but took active part in the design process from day one. We didn’t send that large contingent semi resident at Chengdu for S&G.
Being cost conscious did not mean skimping on tech levels when it came to systems.
As fir the LCA being a success, I’ll call it a qualified success as of this moment in time.
The stated goal, primary goal of the project was a Mig-21 replacement correct? Has it been able to do that yet (honest answer)?
Is it in service yet or will the project timeline move again as it has again & again?
As an incubator for Indian design skills (Didn’t Dassault come in at some point) it has done the job but has it fulfilled the primary goal/ objective? So far it hasn’t.
Btw you are a troll. Your behaviour pattern on PAF threads & Chinese threads consistently shows that. So no matter how much you deny it you are a troll & I’d rather not engage with the likes of you in the future.

I find Black Archer doing the same chicanery he accuses Mountain of doing over in IAF threads. Trolling just for trolling’s sake. Same old hackneyed points being rehashed again & again.
He pretends to know what Pakistan wanted from this program better than PAF officers or Pakistan military watchers, has continuously been countered by members over here yet again & again he come back angling for more & Fedaykin has him pegged correctly.
Also Mountain a humble request, stop replying in their threads but I guess even that won’t dissuade him from spewing forth here.
Fact none of you know exactly how far along the JF-17 is in it’s development curve, fact none of us will ever know for sure except for what is released to the industry media by the officialdom.
Heck my dad’s younger brother is an Air Commodore at the appropriate posting yet even I don’t know anymore than what is open source & what ever there is puts JF-17 squarely ahead of BA’s assertions.
Mods please clean this thread up.
    Thanks
