Love the ending. 😉
Real cute find Greenday real cute. :dev2:
Greenday,
I doubt this. The US has made it very clear that nobody can touch its F-16s bar itself and whats the point of denying DRFM via itself (and making its manufacturers money) when it can allow others to do so?
Yes. I know the article by the ex Army officer, but his statements have been corroborated by a bunch of articles elsewhere.
Lets wait & see.
Ok.
DRFM denial as a political tool(we all know to placate whom). As for how can PAF get DRFM, six third party nations have been approved by the DOD and DOS for supply and sale of all F-16 related technologies and armaments(including EW equipment) to PAF and will have access to our Falcons besides PAF and USAF. Examples from top of my head, Britian, Turkey, Netherlands and Belgium(forgetting names of aoither two). Whats more is that sales by these parties “do not rquire congressional approval” at all. Plus there exist two other “no congress approval” required means to get the DRFM from the US itself through the DOD and DOS(I won’t elaborate on what they are, lets see how resourceful you are and wether you can find out what these means are eh?)
A dunder head shall remain a dunderhead no matter how many dunderheads corroborate him.
Today(Monday) seen from yesterday(Sunday) is in the “next week”. The deal has been signed today 2nd October 06 in Islamabad. We are geting the Falcons and RWR hoopla was all ********.(comes from a very reliable person).
Well it was correct. I dont think DRFM is the issue, I doubt PAF even thinks it will get that- the core issue is of the RWR reprogramming. That is a bigger thing than offensive EW but I Musharraf may have overplayed his hand in the States what with all his controversial comments.
Au Contraire! As far as I know, there are atleast three different ways available to the PAF for getting DFRM without any qualms. And all this RWR not being re programmable talk was started by a has been ex officer of the Pak army who in turn got it from a letter posted to him by a dunderhead whose letter reproduced in the papers showe a clear lack of knowledge of the subject on which he was writing.
Reality is other wise.
And as for word on the F-16 deal, it will be out in the next week or thereabouts.
AWACS beta Awacs.
Its official – Pak F16s are to be sub-standard and threat to the national security of Pakistan ! Anybody who has read the going ons of the US Senate House International Relations Committee knows now that the F16s pakistan will be getting are sub-standard ( as I called them substandard junk etc etc before ). All the malarky about limitations on the design of the F16s sold to pakistan I already repeated before in my previous thread of “Sale of F16s hits snag in the congress” and was repeated in the proceedings of the committee. But that the newly acquired F16s would be a threat to pakistan’s national security came as a surprise even to me. The sale includes the following plans:
· site surveys and end-use monitoring, including annual inventories of all equipment related to the F-16s, by US officials;
· dedicated facilities for storage of spare parts and maintenance;
· strict limitations on access to the planes;
· complete segregation of the F-16s from third country-origin aircraft;
· express permission from the US government before Pakistan can fly the planes outside of its own airspace;
· full compliance with the security plan before the planes, weapons and equipment can be delivered.I hope after reading the above redgriffin, AA sherrif etc would start to look for a suitable “chulo” to dive in together and not surface ( as in sharam se chulo bar pani mein dhoob maro ). Those of whose first langauge is not urdu I will translate ( not that it effect you in any way )- the pakistani saying I quoted in italics refers to drowning oneself out of shame. Redgriffen you were chiding me about not knowing jack (First of all to Anza, yes I can and do tolerate oppossing views. What I don’t tolerate is somebody shooting himself(and his community in general) in the foot by going on and on about something he does not know even jack about. )
I bet you never knew pakistan had to ask for america’s permission to use f16 outside of pakistan airspace—Pakistan has to ask treacherous america’s permission in using f16 against india ( it would take them out of pakistan’s airspace).
Btw the first three conditions pose the greater threat to Pakistan’s national security since it would allow western agencies to spy on pakistan’s nukes i.e. designs, numbers etc. and more importantly their locations etc. ( site surveys and end user monitoring are words which would come to haunt pakistan).
Personally I cannot phanthom any sincere pakistani agreeing to this rubbish after all pakistan is paying for the planes and not leasing them, specially when the technology they are seeking to protect is out dated.
The old saying “Too good to be true” proves its wisdom on US offer of f16s to pakistan. US proves instead it is still the old-pre-911 treacherous, unreliable ally ( with allies like these who needs enemies ) of pakistan.
These are normal US procedures for export customers, they were there before and will be there in the future too.I still maintain that you don’t know jack. All the procedures are normal and were enforced even when we were “oh so cosy” with the US.(i.e the 80s) and even with the sanctions, there were US techreps both civies and armed forces pros posted in Pakistan looking over our vipers and doing all of the above. And the permission to operate outside Pakistan is exercise related only and will not apply in combat conditions.(this is from someone who is actually working on the procurement of F-16s for the PAF.)
This is silly ofcourse the J-10 will be comparible to the F-16 it will either have israeli avionics redubed into something chinese or it will have reverese engineered tech taken from the PAF
Sheesh! for the umpteenth time “there was no tech transfer and neither will be in the future”.
First of all to Anza, yes I can and do tolerate oppossing views. What I don’t tolerate is somebody shooting himself(and his community in general) in the foot by going on and on about something he does not know even jack about.
First of all regarding substandard junk. The F-16s supplied to us were not substandard by any definition. If not having a nuclear consent panel is substandard to you well then you are entitled to your views. Ground clearance on all F-16s is more or less uniform every where. A mk-84 2000 lbs’er is dimensionally larger than any tactical nuclear device but easily fits on the n05 station where you want the nucto be. Well if there was lower than normal ground clearance on our falcons, then we would not be able to fit mk-84s on the no5 station.
Remember that the net is not the place where all the information is available. And as for not believing me, I don’t ask neither expect you or anyone to believe me. Those who really have insider connections in the PAF know where I stand with regards to the veracity of what I post( for instance go ask Pshamim, or Sabre on DT or Usman Shabbir on Pakdef).
And once again the issue of Pakistan having transferred F-16 tech to China, again I ask anybody with contacts in Lockheed or the US DOD to ask what their team found at PAC Kamra.
Anza, just shut up. I’m a Pakistani who for real has medium-high level contacts in the PAF(though I don’t flaun’t them) and whatever you are posting with refference to PAF F-16s is utter bull**** plain and simple. And as for PAF having transferred Viper tech or one whole unit to China, again a whole lot of bullcrap. Anybody here who has contacts in the DOD or Lockmart go and ask what exactly did the joint DOD Lockmart team find in PAC Kamra about 6 or so years ago?
And as for Pakistan not being able to afford other options than F-16’s, I’ll reply to these conceptions the next time I logon here.(It’s 1:00 am here and I got back from the audit of a client of the firm I work for only an hour ago and am dead tired)
Ariealbots merge! Superion anyone 😀
The animated G1 movie was great.
BTW will the movie be based around Generation1 or the newer characters? I absolutley abhor some of the newer Transformer incarnations. Like did anybody take a look at the mockery of the A-10 which Wingsabre was in Cybertron(the 2005 series) and Jetfire looked like the result of a mating between an Antonov heavy and 4 rocket boosters. YUCK! I want my good looking G1 guys back 😎
IMHO if it ain’t G1 it ain’t Transformer :diablo:
What about the Technobots? One of them was a proper airplane too.
Merlock the following link has some useful info on upgraded PAF Mirages

To thread starter, F-24 was supposed to be the original designation for the F/A-18E/F Superhornet. As for what you’ve pulled out I don’t know wether it’s a photo shop or somebody’s idea for a new Starscream.
Ace Combat series is good for a tension blow off. But nothing beats study sims especially the almighty, all conquering Falcon4.0 and it’s sequel Allied Force.
FC-20 is the PAF designation for J-10.
And the numbers will go up. Trust me they will.
Who said anything different. It’s a JSOW allright.
If you would have said lahore i would have agreed
As a Lahorite I’m offended. BTW Lahore actually has fewer beggars than KHI. Isloos another story. Hell atleast it’s cleaner,greener and has better and more good looking buildings and more Parks than Khi.:)
