Interesting thread…I now have an image of a Burberry clad Moggy cruising the mean streets of Thetford in his chavmobile…

And Mike? 45p a litre? SHUT UP WILL YA? 😀 😉 :diablo:

If anyone wants to make themselves known to us, Fluffy and I will be there all weekend, either at our trade stand(where we can relieve you of your hard earned cash) or out on the line. We will have P7350,PS915 & PZ865 there.

Let’s hope there are no cases of mistaken identity then…

    “Hi…you must be Fluffy”
    “Huh?” ~Wallop~

The Chequers used to be good but then it changed hands…this is not to say that it isn’t still good under it’s new owners, but something to bear in mind…

The best pub in the area for food and drink is the King William IV at Heydon…but it’s not in as convenient a location as the Red Lion at Whittlesford…

Digby…isn’t the Tickle Arms a bit poncy? Not that I’ve visited mind, just what I’ve heard…

Room for one more for lunch on Friday?

I am working the airshow on Sunday but will pop over to the tank bank on my lunch break (Failed to spot any of you at Flying Legends, but now I know to look for the forum hedgehog :D)

I have already made my point to you by e-mail Rob, but I was not personally attacking you…I didn’t call you names or cuss at you…I just found what I thought you were saying a complete smack in the teeth. That’s all.

Believe me, if you heard me in full on bitch/rant mode you’d know about it (just ask Mr Ashley, he bears the scars as evidence :diablo:)

As for excepting other Countrys help well thats nice but really folks what can the rest of the World Provide that we don’t already have here in the US. Me thinks this is a few Countrys Politiniuons trying to show the rest of the world that see we do like those damn Yanks.

    RER

Could you sound any more ungrateful? I’m guessing that you are ok Rob, you haven’t lost everything in the aftermath of Katrina, but as you well know there are thousands out there who have…and maybe there are people like myself from other countries who want to help, even if it’s just making a donation, because we are human beings, and those affected by Katrina are human beings…and that makes me/us want to help in someway…I don’t want to just read the news reports and go “oh that’s sad”, then switch off and return to my nice tidy life without at least trying to make a contribution (however small in the grand scales of things)

But reading your post above it makes me wonder why I bothered…typical attitude of “we’re the best in the world, we don’t need anyone’s help” etc etc…

(And as a moderator I avoid try to avoid threads like this and keep out of conversations such as these, but in my humble opinion the comments above really took the biscuit)

So sorry for your loss Tim…as others have already quite rightly mentioned, your Dad clearly had some talent, those paintings are top notch (I especially like the TSR.2 one, partly because it’s one of my favourite aircraft, and partly because the chosen subject was not exactly a common aircraft…)

It passed directly over my head at Duxford at about 2.20 ‘ish (didn’t look at my watch but know it was sometime between 2 and 3 :D)

It looked absolutely stunning…such a shame to learn it’s airtime is coming to an end 🙁

Like others here, the majority of my closest friends are male, and that’s pretty much the way it’s always been. Funnily enough, the majority of my husband’s friends are female 😀

Ignore the old nags in your office Daz, it’s none of their business!
