According to the Duxford Diary (IWM staff monthly newsletter), this is due to start on 19th April, to be completed by/on 18th May. Concorde and the Comet will remain in Hanger 1 until 17th July. However, from 23rd April, Hanger 1 will be closed Monday to Friday, with access to Concorde only granted at weekends.

Well if this thread doesn’t prove that Duxford is the premier major aviation museum in this country, then I don’t know what would…(note use of word “major” i.e. large museum as opposed to a small museum such as Hawkinge…which incidentially rocks…apart from the no photography rule :()

And before anyone accuses me of bias, I take this view not because I work for the Museum, but because it has always been the best to me, and that’s why I chose Duxford over Hendon as a workplace. Yes, the IWM as an organisation is not perfect, but show me an organisation that is…
