What about Martin-Baker’s Meteors?
AFAIK thay are the oldest fighters which are still in service.
The middle one looks like Sudaneas…
Hi Strato

Great pics everyone
The most recent pic of an Iranian Tomcat, taken in Mehrabad in March.
The 3-6020 is seen here fresh out of a major overhaul.
3-6020 was the plane which conducted the tests of the Bombcat concept in Iran during the 80’s.

What about Sayqel AB in Syria?
Any hi-res photos of it?
Also,I’m still wondering where this facility might be.
http://www.pbs.org/tesla/ll/mp_sovi_pop.html
This is the alleged prototype of a Soviet particle beam weapon, located near Semipaltinsk in Kazakhstan.
Any ideas where it might be?
Not able to view the Syrian Fitter here. Does anyone have the correct url?
Same here.
Hi
I just recived Vol.23 and it’s a really nice issue.
The Iranian Tomcat article was copied directly for Osprey’s book (same authors…).
The only difference are the updates from recent years (2005 onwards) which do not appear in the original book.
Jordanian Starfighters

More photos of them would be very appreciated.

The formation was composed of Mig-29,Mig-25,Mig-23,Mig-21,Su-22 and Su-24.
No serials were visible.
I heard that Mig-29 6700 is the only one that has been confirmed.
how exactly it was confirmed is not known.
it was the first time that the Su-24 is shown to the public,as well.
To my knowlage, there are no photos of the flypast.
The syrian TV which was covering the event filmed it,but i don’t know if anyone recorded it.
I would kill to see that footage!
Great photos!!
The Syrian Mig-29 is one of the most enigmatic planes in the world.
The accurate number of aircrafts which are in service is unknown.
several figures emarged over the years in several sources. (ranging from 80 to 20).
None of these figures is accurate.
Not talking serials,paint schemes…
Argg..
several years ago, during a graduation cermony of the Syrian Air Force Academy, a formation composed of Mig-29 (lead),25,23,21,Su-22 and Su-24 flew a flypast over the croud for a moment and then dissappeared.
That was the only time that the Syrian Mig-29 ever shown to the public.
