The Syrian L-39’s are painted in a two tone desert scheme,as well as the Algerians.

The only “clear” photo of a Syrian L-39 was shot by the Syrian TV several years ago,during the graduation ceremony of the Syrian Air Force Academy.

the Syrian L-39’s can be seen in Google Earth as well. (Jirha AB)

according to Tom Cooper’s “Iranian F-14 Tomcat Units In Action”:

“This Egyptian Mirage 5SDE was among the handful of jets deployed to Iraq in March 1986 to support the IrAF in the war against Iran.
the jet is also carries a Selenia ALQ-234 ECM pod.
The Mirage 5sde jamming capabilities adversely affected units equipped with F-4’s and MIM-23 SAM’s.
the F-14 units encountered no such problems”

this pic was taken at Abu Suwayr air base
US ambassador and members of the U.S. and Egyptian military alongside an Egyptian F-16.
note that the tail code has be censored..
