I saw the chinook, also whilst i was there I observed what i believe was an Alphajet fly over, that was about 14.30ish then there was a Grob going round and round (G-BYXB) a Tuccano, and after the Jag took off, another fast jet took off, that turned back the oppiste way it took off from and came over me but for some reason i couldnt positively id it, i think it was a Harrier, also saw a lynx.
I was sad to see XX105 (with a Hunter by her port side) looking rather neglected, all dirty with no rudder, i wonder what they do with her, seems they are just going to let her rust away, shame.

I went to Boscombe down and saw her last display over the base!

I read about this on my local airport enthusiasts group, i dont live to far from Boscome, well if i had a car it would have been simple but i had to use busses and it was quite a major feat to get there, but i did!
I saw her take off about 3pm and i thought this was going to be her display over the base so expected her to return shortly but after about 30 mins i gave up and started the long walk back to the bus stop, which took about another 30 mins, when she suddenly screemed low overhead, loud, smoky with afterburners, i was extactic! if i had stayed where i was i wouldnt have seen her at such a good angle, because i was originaly thinking she would fly down the runway so thats why i walked quite a distance to a point where runway landing lights are just across the road, but she didnt do that.
she flew over the flight line which must of been near to where i as because as i said she was almost overhead! she did 2 low passes (the second one i was naughty and i filmed it, despite big signs saying photography strictly prohibited) i decided i wasnt exactly going to compromise the security! then she did a flight paralel to the runway, so i would have seen her once from my original place.
So, despite the hassle in getting there, i was glad i did because i can now claim to be amongst the last persons to have seen a jaguar fly in Europe!
