I understood the significance of the radome as soon as I saw it. Ive kinda kept it to myself for these last few years. At the end of the day as small as these items are, they need to find a good home.

Bear in mind it was 2007 when I last saw this stuff but I have been on reccy missions up until very recently and it doesnt look like anything has changed.
There are lots more items up there in the store aircraft seats, turrets and I am sure there is a complete engine up there aswell.

I have in my loft a piece of testing gear for DH Comet landing gear still in box, tagged etc(I think!), RAF blind flying panel and various instruments. Also various workshop manuals for Piston Provost, DH Comet with techy signatures etc (probably reflects the original strathallan collection)

There are still various bits and pieces still up above the offices on either side. Lots of instrument panels….(sadly only a few with instruments still attached), there are a set of wings leant up against the wall…possibly biplane no fabric?

There is also what appears to be the nosecone of a TSR2 (the very front radome)…..I confirmed this after discovering it. I did have pictures but my computamabob crashed and I lost everything a couple of months ago.

There also appears to be a couple of upper turrets…again no clue without the images to compare.

What can I say this is gonna keep me going for a while……….!

Appreciation to all for the time and effort…collection should be complete in roughly 20 years……….!:)

On the Air Cadet gliders has anyone got details of the relevant model companys that would cover the types mentioned previous. Special interest in this area due to being a “sprog” for eight years and did a stint at 643 VGS on Vigilants in 1993. Trained at ACCGS…..Happy Days!

    Thanks for the quick response.

Im just interested in pure training types e.g. 504, Tiger Moth, Chipmunk, Jetstream etc. Pilot training ab initio, basic, advanced, multi engine etc.

I certainly will look at contacting Newark.

    Thanks Again:)
