    N39TU is a Beech Starship.

I wonder what’s the white wreck?

yesterday I read on a well-known American P-51 site that the happening would normally occur in June 2006, likely at Reno but not yet confirmed. One hundred P-51s are expected. The formation flight would for obvious reasons consists of fifty-one aircrafts.

    Laurent.

    Two questions:

Is Snaaskerke the location of the scrapyard near Ostend airport?
Isn’t the CF-100 at the museum a MkIV, lacking the wing extension of the MkV?

In 1984, one warbird displayed in Belgium (I don’t remember if it was Lindsay Walton’s Corsair or Stephen Grey’s Bearcat) was flown by an Air-Vice Marshall who was in charge of RAF Germany.
It was a charming person and an ex-wartime pilot.
    Was is the same person?

I suggest that he would save the cockpit which would be cheaper to carry out to his place.

I am confident that members of this forum could instruct him where to cut.

Same colour scheme but with Canadian registration.

It is likely that she was resprayed in canada as there is a Canadian registered aircraft in the background.

I received the following reply from daniel Brackx

    Hello Willy,

As there was no picture attached to your mail, I suppose that you’re talking about the c/s of OO-ARC when she was already in Canadian hands and flying as CF-NUS owned by John N. Paterson, from Fort William, Ontario, between Aug. 1961 and jun 1964.

I only have a very bad quality black and white picture which shows what appears to be a white cheat-line and associated lightning motive on a somewhat darker overall colour. Unfortunately there is no way to identify this colour, however as the machine is preserved at the Canadian National Aviation Museum at Ottawa (http://www.aviation.technomuses.ca/)you perhaps could consult them for any better or colour picture of this livery.

The Canadian Aviation Historical Society – Journal Vol. 42 No. 2: Summer 2004, gives a detailed account of this particular *Spitfire coming to Canada. Unfortunately I don’t have a copy of this magazine, but information can be obtained at this link: http://www.cahs.com/journal04b.htm

There is now a discussion on the Historic Aviation forum regarding the colour scheme of

OO-ARC after her service with COGEA nouvelle.

    *

The black and white photograph shows a two-tone color scheme with a white? cheatline.

I am confident that one of our specialist might help.(Daniel?, Frans?)

    Thanks in advance

    Quoted from BAHA site:

A further 6 non-upgraded Lockheed F-16A’s arrived by road at the Rocourt “IFM Dufour” Barracks to be stripped of all useful parts which can then be sold on the military aircraft market. Aircraft having arrived today in a very impressive road convoy were FA-02, FA-09, FA-26, FA-30, FA-31, and FA-37. Aircraft having arrived on 23 and 25 November 2004 are FA-10 (processing prototype), FA-21, FA-28, FA-34, FA-40 and FA-43. On 11 January the following Falcons arrived: FA20, FA23, FA-32, FA-45, FA-51 and FA-53. A special feature on the spare parts reclaims and processing of these Fighting Falcons will follow on these pages very soon. Click HERE for some pictures.

There is or was a Canadian built tilt-wing aircraft approximately 10 years ago. It is not listed on the museum site.
    Can somebody identify the aircraft?
If necessary, I can scan a photoghraph.
