In Germany photographs older than 40 years old may be reproduced.

A few days ago, there was a thread over the last flight of Spitfires in 1953. It was mentioned that crown copyrights expired after 50 years.

I would suggest to start a new thread with would allow us to find the required information in one location

If the photograph was not Photoshopped, i would assume that this plane was reduced to produce.

At the entrance of Cannes-Mandelieu airport ther is a Beech 18 wearing the fake registry F-BCCI, obviously meaning Chambre de Commerce et d’Instrustrie.
The “actual”registration quoted in various British books doesn’t match a Beech.

According to Brugier, they were only two or three French registered Beech 18.

Help would be greatly appreciated as I am trying to find the correct registration or preferrably the c/n for approximately 10 years.

    Thks in advance

First question, why was a German flag visible on the tail fin of G-ATUM?

First remark: Martin it is well known that nowadays people scanning Kodachrome slides have a problem of blueish hue. As I am still using Fuji before switching to digital in a foreseeable future, I don’t have this problem.

I used a Nikon Coolscan II for the slides for approximately ten years witout any problem. A few years ago, he failed to recognize the SCUSI address. He maybe became too old.

The market is changing so fast that it is hardly feasible to follow the progress.

In my opinion, if you are willing to spend 1.000 pounds you can purchase a combined flat bed with slides adaptor.

If you select cheaper stuff coasting one tenth of that picture, yous should purchase a flat bed and a slide scanner.

I would suggest that we would keep this thread open for a while-say, deadline 31st December 2005, then investigate the feasability of issuing a booklet.

I noticed that we have at least one publisher, member of this forum.

A cheap book-in the range of 15-20 euros-would be in my opinion financially viable.

I apologize for our friend not yet used to use the euro and I won’t convert in guineas at this time.

    Cheers

    Willy

Martin, if you read the thread on King’s Cup, you will learn that she was silver with British roundels.

The F-15 was flown by a French AF pilot, hence the French roundels.

I recently read an old article but I cannot remember where. It was either an exchange or a presentation.

If I find it, I will revert
