I would suggest that restoration would be carried the way they do at Oberschleisshem where the works can be viewed and photographed from a gallery.Further glass panels which are not too intrusive to photographers protect the visitors from the dangerous chemical fumes used.(Yes they say so)
Where could you find a suitable Hispano engine?

Slide sleeves is now my favourite as you can change the filing quite easily. I first started filing my date and now switched to filing by aircraft type. Within a particular aircraft type, I file by c/n.
The file listing is kept on the computer which allows me to check in a split of second, what i have (registration, c/n, titling, location, date). For the registration I list them by registration worn which does not always match the actual registration.
Besides fake registration worn to duplicate a particular aircraft, you have sometimes errors made by the painters.
Maybe the open cokcpit had been selected to fool people who cannot make the difference between a Spit and a Hurricane.
In the late seventies, the Transall demonstrator (Blue and yellow c/s) made a belly landing instead on an assault landing (Touching on the frontwheel first).
Unfortunately it occurred one day prior to my arrival.
Interesting link but most European survivors are not listed
