Thks Veltro for the info
The stolen Belgian F-16 ,serialled FA 105 crashed on take-off at Brekstad (Norway) on 5th May 1989.The”pilot”, actually a ground crew which stole the plane was killed. It was then stated that the man was mentally disturbed. Later on, according to news report, it appeared that the man would have been requested to fly it over the Iron curtain. That’s all.
COMET,
I would agree that BRU is OK for us going to the airport by cars and knowing the area. I consider that it would be very difficult for a foreigner without assistance of local spotters.I learned two days ago that a new fence would impede access by car to the bike track near the radar station but haven’t checked it yet.
CDG is going more and more difficult.
UPF is Ok with viewing teraaces or alternatively the fence on the other side of the runway.

As soon as you change the plugs, the engine is not original anymore.

There is indeed a second ex Belgian Air Force Pembroke kept at the Dakota Museum.
The Dakota museum consists of photographs of Belgian Air Force C-47, a Fairchild C-119 (Composite airctaft) and one Pembroke, both stored outside. The luseum is located at Melsbroek barracks located on the other side of the Haachste steenweg in front of the Military side of Brussels airport. The museum was (is?) open to the general public two Wednesday afternoon per month. Photographs are allowed, entrance free.Same regulations as for Cuatro Vientos, you leave your pass at the gate.
A balsa, flying model,(At least the manufacturer claimed that she would fly, in fact it flew like a stone), Stinson, exact type unknown (Observation Army Air Force)
For the lack os swatiska on the tail, we were told when building kits that the representation was prohibited by the German law(The Lindbergh kits had no decals)
Can our German fellow 109 comment on this?
I am eagerly waiting to see all other pictures you took as I am eagerly waiting to have the opportunity to visit this museum
I don’t know if you have the same problem in UK as we experienced from Belgium. Since 11th September 2001, all access to US Military organizations is denied.
Fiat CR32 should be feasible as the one in CuatroVientos is a replica incorporating a few parts from an original.
