Is West Malling not a housing estate etc???
I didn’t…..
On Saturday a group of us converged on Old Warden to clear brambles and repaint the windsock pole. We had a great time – plenty of banter and plenty of work.
If anyone’s interested in getting involved in helping out at their local museum, now is a very good time to get in touch because volunteers are very thin on the ground at the moment.
I got sent up on top of a corn bin last year to put a windsock up…. Next time I’d be grateful if this could be done when it’s a little less windy!!!!!
I personally haven’t been thin on the ground (or in the air for that matter) for a few years now….
I made quite a lot of tea too.
Splendid, when can I pop down for a cup?????
Interesting……
Give us a chance Dan….
The colour scheme will remain the same for a little while until the fabric is changed, may be one or two alterations but it will essentially be the same. Any particular scheme you would like to see in the future???
Well I’m just not worried about the cold and can’t wait!
What ever did you do to your Stearman last March to cause it to still be in pieces now! 😮
The Stearman was fine until October when the spanners came out, now just having a quick make over during the winter and a general tidy up.
For some reason Rob I love that last picture!!!!!
A Stearman ride in February???? Brrrrrrrr my first Stearman trip was in March last year 4 hours after getting back from a month in America, now the poor old girl is in pieces having a bit of a make over for the summer.
Now if we are talking about a Stearman flight on a lovely summer’s evening, there is nothing better….
Enjoy it…
I must admit the last couple of times I’ve visited Duxford I’ve left feeling a little disappointed that everything is crammed in and that some exhibits are out of view, however it won’t be forever and I would think it unlikely that I will be back at Duxford until the new hanger is open anyway so I will reserve judgement until then.
Using what form of transport is Colchester 45 mins from Duxford????
Now Stewart they will notice if you ride out with a Mosquito on the back of your bike, not to mention the chaos you will cause towing it through Colchester….
Happy birthday, are you old enough to learn to ride a bike now?????
Are these the people with the Fairford MiG29 cockpit wreck or am I thinking of something else????
Status Quo are at Alconbury????
I would think that Marshalls may be keen to stay local to Cambridge as the cost and disruption of relocating or loosing their employees may become an issue. Who knows, stranger things have happened. I have first hand experience of relocating a Manufacturing company from the East Anglian coast to the South Coast and despite offering generous relocation packages only around 10% relocated. I then made everyone else, including myself redundant….. Nice job for someone I guess…..
