Number 1 is Rob’s Yak. Number 2 being G-KYAK
Probably not too long before it makes it over the border although it takes a while to get there. The P51 will be about soon I guess.
Oooops, yes, should have mentioned that I guess
Congratulations.
Having recently completed my PPL I can understand your desire for beer.
No the yellow RCAF Chippie is G-BNZC and now with Shuttleworth. Graham’s Chippie was in Silver RAF markings.
My guess would be that CVT is Coventry. There is life outside Duxford 😉
It’s the one that Graham Warner had during the 80’s, when I get back home I will look it up and let you know unless I’m beaten to it. IIRC there may have been more thasn one though.
I believe the second one will be for an owner based in the South of England when it finally arrives.

How on earth did you ever survive as Assistant Editor of Warbirds Worldwide with views like that????? Or were you there as a balancing effect on the publication so as it wasn’t all Mustang related 😀
That sounds like the North Weald T33 at the time registered N36TH, however it’s transition th G-BYOY was not a smooth one and it now sits in open storage at North Weald.

G-OAHB is at Duxford in it’s original Canadian scheme, N13240 (from memory) met with an accident after it returned to America. I’d be interested to know more about the plans for G-WGHB though.
Not wanting to rub it in too much, ML417 flew 4 circuits about 3 hours ago and taxied back in, again photo’s to follow. I’m glad to say that I’ve seen this machine again, just need to catch up with AE977 now.

And anyway – your ears would have to be sharp to hear a Spitfire in Chino from San Diego, it’s a good 50 miles.😮
Who said anything about Chino????
However after seeing ML417 yesterday I did my dual cross country to Chino yesterday, however there wasn’t time to stop but my intention is to return 😀
It would appear that the Warbird world neither revolves around Duxford or Chino, they are allowed to go elsewhere :p
That and the pictures of me having buckets of water poured over me 😉 as soon as they have been developed.
Thanks for the messages guys, good luck Damien.
Any chance of a forum meet when I am in the country please? Go away for a few weeks and forum meets spring up all over the place.
