I was there, didn’t you notice me??? I hope I got some good pics, not many of the Mustangs though as I had to move from my prime photography site. I may show them to you if I ever get the film developed, only 3 more shots to take. If the car goes tomorrow I may go digital for next year ๐
All 5 planes always do look great, the 6th one that was there for a bit didn’t look to bad either althogh it looked a little tarnished in places :p
What’s all that stuff hanging out of the bottom of it???? Are you sure the driver didn’t mistake Duxford for Stansted. Could you see all the punters strapped in during the display or were they shouting help from the windows?

Why should she get a flight in a Spit???
Because she wouldn’t appreciate a flight in a proper aircraft ๐ ๐ :p

I was wondering if a certain Ms Greer was at home and what she would have to say on the matter
If it was as spectacular as it sounds she probably said, “what the f…………………..” I’m sure we will all get to read about it and no I’ve never met her, but I’ve also never read her writings.
So what’s the rate of roll like on the 747, is it a full aerobatic display or just a flat display, can it stay within the airfield or does it display in the neighbouring counties as well? ๐ :p
I bet it looks spectacular, must be a bit like an eclipse and I’m sure from certain angles blocks out that awful concrete blister hanger. I’ll await the show reports on Sunday night.
Something like that, in truth the attractions are mainly to the south of Norwich other than work so I am off. Plus I don’t like cities I prefer to have fields around me than houses and shops.

Yak11, moving house mmmm do your carers know of this?
For goodness sake please don’t tell them, I plan to tunnel out on Saturday and make my escape in an unmarked white van.
…..and Duxford of 1977 was nothing like the Duxford of today in terms of flying activity (and out of character buildings).
Evening AT6Pilot2B, what happened to who when? Who am I, where am I?
If the Cranes were to overfly the crowdline would they be grounded?
Having watched the Crane / Microlight foration at Biggin Hill a couple of years ago it’s interesting to see. Things like this the Red Arrows and 747 flypast bring the non enthusiast punters in, Duxford caters for the enthusiast each year with Leg Ends. I shan’t be going however as I’m moving house.
What I don’t know however is how they will get the Cranes to stand still on the flightline all morning so people can photograph them, the arguments it will cause if they are not on the flightline don’t bear thinking about.

I’ve met Snapper ๐
I’ve met Snapper ๐
Don’t sit in the dark aj, it’s no fun. Digby told me I had to so as to get over my North American addiction ๐ There’s no reason for you to.
Was Leg Ends a two day event then? Bit like an England test match ๐ฎ
