This must have been Spitfire MK XVI owned by Spitfire LTD, I was up at Headcorn Aerodrome this afternoon and Cliff Spink displayed this wonderful machine for over ten minutes he left around 3pm. The packard merlin sounds great though!!! I managed to meet Cliff and also have a look inside the cockpit!

About time it arrived, maybe one of these days I will have to pop down and have a look at it.

And I thought that Yeovilton and Legends together was bad, but when Glacier Girl and the Canadian Lancaster come flying together in to Legends next year, timing their arrival with the whole BBMF, RIAT will be empty.
Wishfull thinking.

It is possible for an aircraft to display at more than one location on the same day…. and if you really want to go to both shows then both are on for 2 days, Legends one day and Fairford the next….

I thought one went off to America, the other (G-WGHB) was last heard of in East Anglia.

No evidence to idicate a leak has been found on the aircraft, it was a damp day so that may produce vapour trails, some of the marks on the aircraft however come from the exceptionally wet runway that weekend.
