Oh well, it was just a suggestion, still no point in moaning about it here though….
Then maybe you should have mentioned it to the management at Old Warden at the time so as they could have carried out further training with the guide rather than raising it here where nobody has the chance to rectify the situation.
Well I guess we are about to find out as one has just been registered as G-CEHJ.
I won’t laugh, I’ve had 4 of them, however I never got the bonnet to crack, guess I wasn’t trying hard enough.
If neither of these have been made airworthy in the last 30 years, then they might just as well use them for spares?
I think that may be the rude statement….
I’m confused. I thought G-HUEY was a static airframe now on outside display at a museum?
It was at one point but as Easy Tiger has reported at the start of this post it is now flying again…..
Congratulations on getting it flying again….
I recently had the chance to have a good look around a UK based L5 and was retty impressed by it.
Sounds as good a reason as any to stick with the short pipe then.
Haha that made me laugh after a bad day. How about souping up Yak11s Mustang? Furry dice on the gunsight, neon lights in the wheel bays, big sound system behind the pilots seat etc. :p
I don’t have a Mustang sadly…. Mustangs do not look good with neons, dice or any other ……. hanging from them, and I think you will find the big sound system is fitted in front of the pilot rather than behind…….
Sadly I was on a quiet Norfolk airfield having to put up with sights like this….

Spoilsport – we do em blinged with spinners and everything! :p
TT
Yes, spinners they look good with, but hubcaps nooooooooooooooo what do you think this is? A branch of Halfords or something????
G-ELMH’s sister ship returns, thats good news… and no, Harvard’s look nasty with hubcaps 😉 :p
I would think that as it has lived in a container for 15 years its a little away from being airworthy.
Wake up Mr Maxxxxxxxxxxxx, you may be needed to fly at some point……………
Unless she is sold in the meantime…..
