The F-35 doesn’t need good PR, it just needs factual reporting…

what are you talking about man ? The F 35 is as political as it gets. Trudau was voted in to cancel the F 35. Imagine he backs off of that and then the next day, one gets shot out of the sky in Syria ?

    – Due to my profession, I do take the spread of false, misleading information via websites posing to be news outlets and social media seriously indeed.

It is not the only thing I care about in regard to the situation in Syria. If you look through my posts on the topic, I’ve never varied from one theme- Regardless of the politics, the losers in this have been the civilian population in Syria. I don’t believe that any of the nations involved (US, France, Russia, Gulf States, etc) have acted in the best interests of the people of Syria. As to who is better at “bombing the crap out of ISIS”. It doesn’t matter, as eventually the people who live in there: Iraqi, Kurds, Turks, various ethnicities in Syria will have to coordinate in order to completely defeat ISIS. Don’t see that happening any time soon, do you?

I am not one of those who says that the US created ISIS intentionally and is in full control of it. I am saying that in SYRIA , they are clearly turning a blind eye to ISIS and steering them onto the SAA because they have the same goals. Regime change in Syria.

The whole ceasefire ended on the fact that the US WOULD NOT separate its official proxy fighters from NUSRA.

No you are reporting what was said according to “The Duran”.

Btw, I find it hysterical that you, who once posted that Fox News was majority owned by gulf state emirs and the such (which wasn’t true as I showed before you deleted your post) is posting from the Duran?Do you know who the editor is? Do a little footwork.

The Duran is mostly Americans and Brits. Not sure if there is any Russians in the little circle

And I only countered with that because you continue to take this absolutist approach on media outlets. Its the only thing you seem to care about.

Well “the Duran” is a reliable source…… wait no it isnt. It makes every list of “questionable” news sites.

Anyway KGB, none of those conspiracy theories make any sense when you think logically about the situation. ISIS does not respect/recognize borders. On the face of it, why would the US (or anyone) be fighting ISIS in one nation and be allowing safe passage into another. ISIS forces pour back and forth based on the pressure they are facing. Russia/Syria were focused on Aleppo. The Iraqi/western forces are engaged with ISIS in northern Iraq and Kurdish forces are pushing them west.

The ISIS forces remaining are concentrating where there is the least pressure on them, that is all.

Believe that if you want. I am not going to bother chasing down all the relevant evidence just to be met with cheap non sequiturs and filibusters.

I am just reporting what the Russian military said.

But you think that the Rus military woke up this morning and decided to start telling lies.

So many words and no substance at all .Do you have the serial number of this “probably EF-111 ” (sic!) ,if not you are a waste of bandwidth as usual Mr Painter .

Why so much hostility ? Did your Dad run a rivet gun on the F-111 assembly line ? I just don’t see what the big deal is here. The F-111 wasn’t stealth.

But hey I’ll just agree with you anyway. The canopy is a fake. It was fabricated and all painted up by aircraft plant workers on their downtime. Then passed onto Pravda for a propaganda piece. Its still a cool museum piece and that’s why we are talking about it.

LOOOL Is there any shred of evidence ,parts of wreckage ,photos ,serials ,any thing to corroborate this fake story of “probably EF-111 ” near the wreckage of KAL007?Do you know what critical thinking is ?

Are you even aware of all the lost and missing aircraft throughout the cold war ?

Are you implying that the soviets fabricated this piece ? Critical thinking indeed.

    http://theduran.com/russia-blames-us-isis-advances-syria/

The Head of the Main Operations Department of Russia’s General Staff, Lieutenant-General Sergey Rudskoi, has now blamed the US again, claiming that the increase of ISIS fighters in eastern Syria is directly linked to the US-led operations against ISIS in Mosul

The actions of the US-led coalition grouping near the Iraqi city of Mosul have largely boiled down to edging out considerable forces of the ISIL [the former name of the IS] towards the eastern part of Syria where militants are moving weapons, explosives and manpower almost unimpededly towards Palmyra, Deir ez-Zor and also the town of al-Bab bordering on Turkey

That this was what would happened – and even that it was planned in advance – was being said by many people at the very start of the Mosul operation in October. Here for example is what Vaughan Famularo wrote in The Duran on 19th October 2016

The Russian news media RIA Novosti, has revealed that US and Saudi leaders have decided to allow the safe passage of 9000 ISIS terrorists to vacate Mosul in Iraq and, relocate into Syria.

The surprising information was leaked by an anonymous diplomatic source. It was also claimed that this decision was conditional on the terrorists agreeing to fight Syrian and Russian troops in Palmyra and Deir Ezzor.

oh look! Russian and Turkey are jointly bombing IS (and not each other as confidently predicted by some earlier in the year):

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-38667895

It’s BBC but quotes Russian Defence Ministry so should be verifiable if you require.

Next it will be Russia and the US coordinating strikes….

Its certainly a possibility. But there is a war within the deep state. They are trying to compromise Trump in order to compromise US/Russia detante. And some believe that its a moral duty to prevent detante because they think Putin is Hitler. So I will beleive it whjen i see it

So…Libya made an arms deal in 2010

According to Russia’s Interfax news agency, Libya is to get two batteries of the S-300.

It will also receive 20 military aircraft — 12-15 Sukhoi Su-35 multirole fighters, four Su-30s and six Yakovlev Yak-130 combat training aircraft — according to Russian sources.

    Now.

The Eastern Libyan commanders of Operation Dignity forces, Khalifa Haftar has signed a $2 billion arms deal with Russian government despite sanctions from the United Nations.

Al-Ghoul told Al-Arab on Monday that the visit of Haftar to the Russian aircraft carrier off Tobruk port saw the two parties signing a deal that would allow Haftar to reactivate the contracts of the former Libyan army of Muamar Gaddafi with Russia, Libya Express reported Monday.

“Abdullah Al-Thinni-led government of the HoR has tried many times to reactivate the contracts with Russia, it is the right of the Libyan army to have them back from Russia.” He added.

The model is gathering dust in a glass cabinet at the Moscow Aviation Institute that is now strapped for cash – hence allowing paying westerners in to see the exhibits……. http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/mos2006_day02.html

It was probably made a few years previously – with detachable wings and fins.

Whoever ‘resurrected’ it for placement in the cabinet probably did not get the wings aligned correctly.

I’m just guessing – but having made models that are now on display in museums, I know how they are mishandled over time.

    Ken

that was a few years ago now. Any updates on the state of the museum material ?

I doubt if its a variable incidence wing – probably just not assembled propery – the starboard wing is on straight.

The models were in a glass cabinet – it was difficult trying to avoid reflections – here’s a couple more….

    [img]http://www.flankers-site.co.uk/misc_pics/mai mig model_01

I wouldn’t jump to too many conclusions – the model was probably a design study by the MAI students.

    Ken

Looks fairly detailed to me. Just b/c students made it doesn’t mean it isn’t connected to industry in some way.

Reminds me of this. This looks like a newer version of that wide body/variable wing design

No you are right. It was a terrible fighter.. in fact operate it as a frontline fighter was plain stupid. Its clear as crystal that Mig-25 was a Interceptor, not a fighter.

The MiG-25P and MiG-25PD Foxbat are the fastest fighter aircraft in the world with a maximum speed limited to Mach 2.83. It recorded the first air-to-air kill during the Gulf War when an Iraqi Foxbat downed a Boeing F-18 Hornet on January 17, 1991. Of particular note is that during the Gulf War, one Iraqi Foxbat-E eluded not only eight sweeping F-15s but also tangled with two General Dynamics EF-111A Aardvark.
