No, believing those numbers would require a level of suspension of disbelief similar to that required for an action movie…

Russia is wholly uncompetitive as a manufacturer and while the collapse of the Ruble helps some it isn’t going to come close to allowing them to sell a heavy weight twin engined fighter for less than half the cost of an F-16 or Gripen. Seriously, use your head for once.

If Russia were able to achieve such results in a high-tech industry they are wasting their time building fighter jets.

    Edit:

For example India, hardly a high-cost producer, is building the latest order of Su-30MKIs at ~$75 million per unit. Do you honestly think Russia can produce an Su-35 for less than a third of the cost of what India can produce an Su-30MKI for? Think…

    Russia’s military industry is thriving.

and its always funny to see people scoff about Russia being low tech while they are the only ones capable of bringing man into space.

Are you morons unable to understand this thread is not for discussion of media or which channel is worse?

Ever since Russia entered the Syria war, the coverage has been an issue. Any claim about what is happening on the ground is instantly questioned. And the source becomes an issue. Hence all the media talk.

    It is very relevant.

FSW has no prospects for the aircraft at cruising supersonic speed. All sixth-generation fighter should have the speed.
    Subsonic bomber? PAK DA? doubt…
Subsonic attack? Perfectly! What to do with injuries?

Here is a former US diplomat, a former prominent US TV personality and a British MP all on RT making the point that the US allowed ISIS to convoy across the desert unscathed.

RT is full off lie and propaganda nonsense TBH

How could RT narrative is anymore sensible than Western one if Russian government also has their own agenda of keeping Assad in power ?.On one hand you said that you collect facts from different and contradictory source , on the other hand, you pretend like only Western governments political motives while others government are as innocent as angel

The truth seems to be aligning more with their point of view in this case.

I think for power projection purposes alone, they should have tried to make it work. Its appearance is striking. Love it or hate it, you cant ignore it. Even now, the jet has a fan club that spans the globe.

Being politically correct so the press could not attack you, was not their number one concern.

Freedom bombs for Fallujah and war crime bombs for Aleppo. Yes. I get it.

    hmmm.

I am not getting into another debate about what is going on in Syria, just the whole BBC v RT coverage of it.

Without Russian airpower, the Government would not be on the verge of victory. That must be true, no?

Without US airpower, (pick an Iraqi or Afghan city, ) would not be on the verge of “victory”.

Ironically I would say the reason that the UK/US/France couldn’t do what the Russians have done in Syria is exactly because of the liberal media. In the UK, before the vote on armed intervention in Syria the BBC and others were full of comparisons with Libya and Iraq and how airpower would not be able to stop things in Syria.

Fast forward to this week, and I hear comment on the BBC that Russia should be applauded for being able to do what the West was too weak to.

Tell me just one thing that Russia is doing in Syria that the US didn’t do in Fallaujah twice or in mosul ect or israel in lebanon 2006….?

Well, in my experience what little material RT get a hold of that is NOT also available to Western media too often later proves to be (deliberately!) fake and taken grossly out of context for me to consider their point of view at all trustworthy. Manipulation on the part of the editorial staff is rare in Western media but all over the place with RT (unless the subject does not involve Russian interests – which in itself is telling).

Give me just 2 examples of blatant fake fabricated news from RT..

Hold on a minute. For all its faults the Western mainstream media still IS a lot better than RT.

At what ? What are you even saying ? They both provide a different view. Sensible people take a balanced diet of both points of view on a given subject.

I really don’t know what to believe …

I am unsure what the issue is here.. Are people questioning whether this sale and delivery is happening at all and are using pics to prove it or not ?

Or are people just squabbling about whether these are real pics of the actual delivery or not ?

In-terms of production J-10A and J-11B have either wrapped up or should definitely wrap-up by 2020.

J-10C might be succeeded by a rumored J-10D.
J-15 will definitely continue. They will make the switch to CATOBAR ready J-15A.
J-16 will continue. It will actually take on the roles of both Su-30MKK & JH-7A.
J-11D is an unknown right now.

Other than the J 10, this whole list is su 27/33 variants.
