Iam not sure about the number but TBH, i think any smart person would take information from Sputnik, RT or Fox news with load of salt, just a bunch of propaganda channels really.
It rather laughable naive to believe that good and bad in reality is as clear as black and white

Its a real number. CNN admitted it.

Propaganda is an over-used word these days. Back in the real cold war, there was an ideological difference. Communism vs capitalism. Russia is just as much , if not more capitalist than the US and just as metropolitan as the US now so the word propaganda does not fit for either side.

Compare two aircraft of relatively the same size, the F-16 and F-35.

The F-16 was designed with a “sleek efficient design” and the F-35, not so much (length-to-width ratio, internal bays, internal fuel, etc).

However, the F-35 has a MUCh lower RCS due to the care taken in designing it’s shape & materials to control radar energy.

In my examples of the T-50 and J-21, they would have to do a better job of shaping than the F-35 and use much better materials in order to overcome the inherent RCS penalty of a larger airframe. Given that this is their first at bat with tactical fighter stealth, that simply won’t happen.

The F 35 is not a full size flagship fighter like the Raptor, J 20 or Pak Fa. So its not really relevant to use its smaller size as an implicit RCS advantage. That’s like saying a Ford half ton pickup is lighter than a Chevy 1 ton. Yes. Sure. But its not a relevant comparo

Even so, the Pak Fa has a lower profile than the F 35. Even to the naked eye. The Pak Fa just looks flat. The F 35 just doesn’t.

Canards on J-20, IRST on PAK-FA, exterior rim on canopy.

So you are claiming that the Pak Fa is not stealth because of the exterior rim on a prototypes canopy.

It does have a lower RCS and better SA though. A lot of features of the T-50 and J-31 are just not stealthy and the F-35’s SA is cutting edge.

    Like what ?

I think you are assuming a head-on shot.

Btw, “sleek efficient design” has little to do with making an effective RCS, just ask the F-117.

Do you have any profile comparisons to make that claim that the F-35 has a larger frontal profile than the T-50 (like this)?

    [ATTACH=CONFIG]2TTACH]

How is that not true ? A lower profile will have a lower RCS. To use an extreme example, are you saying that a stealth F 35 will have a lower RCS than a non stealth F 15 remote control replica ? The replica will have a lower RCS

On the news today. Able to hit any aircraft flying in capitol…and half of the fighter bases.:applause:

This is why Europe should not be blindly engaging in cold war with its neighbors just because DC wants them to.

Not at all, I am well aware of the mistakes made by the U.S. and know the price that family and friend have paid serving abroad in a conflict without end.

So, in essence, you are both claiming that the media and governments of all the nations listed, including your nominal ally of India, are lying about the this?
None of what I posted is incorrect. I see some Russian posters blinded by their own propaganda blitz, readily swallowing any negative story about the west, and parroting the state propaganda machine no matter how outrageous the lie. In truth, it is not due to any anti-Russian bias that I am engaged in what I know will be a pointless discussion with some of you.
It is the opposite, I don’t, and the majority of educated Americans did not view Russia as an adversary (at least until very recently). Hence the disbelief at reading the state media stories generated in Russia about the U.S.

RT is the most viewed international news channel on Youtube by a large margin. Do you think its based on fake views ? If so, why doesn’t CNN or Fox just crank up the fake view machine ?

Just about every government and media outlet that has been targeted believes this “conspiracy theory”:

Latvia, Australia, US, UK, Slovak republic, Finland, Czechs. Do I need to go on? -wait! India too.

There is no evidence other than some phony defectors who made up some stories.

There is simply no way that it can be true. There is not enough spelling, grammar or slang mistakes in the claimed troll posts for it to be true. The political establishment in the west just does not want to admit that they have essentially ZERO support from the people.

Brexit, Trump. Need i say more ?

well, nice to see that the state information warfare blitz is convincing it’s target audience. Those “average joe” comments, and tweets could be generated right down the street from you. I have to say, the Russian disinformation apparatus is truly and effective weapon in the social media age. The western nations have really been losing this war they didn’t know they were fighting. Will be a interesting footnote in history someday. It is frightening, there is no way that western governments can counter the a state controlled media/disinformation/propaganda machine. Kudos.

It really boggles my mind that people actually believe the “Russia troll bot” conspiracy theory. Nothing fails the Occams Razor test like the “troll bot” story.

Social media is owned and operated by the west and it is sympathetic to its views of the world. Just today:

AP interview with Assad regarding the bombing and convoy attack. Assad looks much skinner and older cant imagine the stress hes in… especially knowing what happened to Gaddafi. As expected (he has an anti american pov)

    [video=youtube;s2GUfBppapA]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2video]

Right after the bombing (interview with russia’s UN rep)

US should have blamed the rebels, later presented the evidence then if indeed it was someone else

Its good to see the US/Nato finally lose all credibility and standing on these matters. One only needs to go to western newspaper sites , Twitter or any social medium and look at the comments.

Conclusion is irrelevant. A failed jumbo facing difficulties to penetrate the market only imparts this market and not its competitor’s products. The market segment is narrow so the effect might look devastating but they are not. Sadly Boeing has to hold its breath and wait that the smoke of Airbus failure fades away.
There is still a market for a plane like the 747.

Looks like Boeing made the right call opting for a smaller high tech jet

i do not know why they dont attack at night… maybe old nav units maybe not well maintained or maybe they rely on visual confirmation
They probably do not have the money for missiles (look at the barrel bombs they make…)

this is the transcript in english:
“Our military have already made statements that our aircraft did not operate here. The Syrian aircraft could not have operated [there], because the attack against the convoy was conducted in the night time and the Syrian Air Force does not perform flights in this time, it has no such capabilities. The attack took place after humanitarian cargo had already been offloaded in eastern Aleppo,” Lavrov

The pic i showed you is the s-400 range of radar and missile, thats how they know who is flying where the s-400 has an array of radars and moskva the flagship has its own radars. They can definitely see whats going on in Aleppo because its pretty close to the russian base

Couldn’t the same be said for other air forces? I mean all those hours spent on formation flying on the airframe do incur a hefty cost. That’s why the blues still flies A model hornets. Couldn’t the knights pick a more economical choice? Like the Yak-130?

The US has been cutting back on their airshow stuff since the budget sequestration. The US and Russia are on relatively opposite curves in their debt cycles. So this kind of spending looks strange from a western view.

Russia is in the business of selling for export in a market based way. which is doifferent than the US exports.

Isn’t that a waste of resource to use a state of the art fighter for aerobatic display? It’s like the USAF using the F-22s for its Thunderbirds.

Its 4.5 gen so no. It wouldn’t be like that.

They want to show strength and pride. Its money well spent and its not the first time.

Russian Jet Team Shocks The World By Showing Up In New SU-30SM Flankers http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/russian-falcons-jet-team-shocks-by-showing-up-in-new-su-1651171036

Yesterday in Krasnoyarsk, the lesser known of Russia’s three jet fighter display teams surprised crowds by showing up in six of most advanced variations of the Sukhoi Flanker series jets in the world, the super maneuverable SU-30SM.

Setting up the relatively young (est. 2006) Russian Falcons display team with one of Russia’s most advanced fighters seems to be just another in a series of planned moves to showcase Russia’s growing military might to the world and to spur nationalistic sentiment at home. At the same time, aviation aficionados should be excited as this new enhanced Flanker six ship display will undoubtedly become more dynamic as the team continues to become accustomed with their new hardware and hones their routine.
