j-20 is not for export. There is no need to give any information to the public. so fanboys can create fantasies of what it has and doesnt have.
all we know is that it is the third 5th gen fighter to reach production.j-31 is for export. its basic specs were revealed a year or two ago.
I think they are both junk. The J 20 looks like an oversized F 35 with canards.

Photos of the pilot from the J-15 crash. RIP.
Very sad.
That’s the thing though. China is starting from rock bottom. They should have made a joint effort with the Russians IMO
I suspect this time they are testing to see if the failure rate of missiles has been improved in last year. I suspect they werent too happy with results of year ago. Syria is just a big training range for the Russkies. Lessons being learned etc…
failure rates were way overblown by the usual suspects
Spread the word, that makes you and five other delusional posters that believe that. Of course, patents prove you wrong, but hey! Who needs the truth, it’s the Internet.
Russia gets flack all the time for copying. Is it a big deal that one went the other way ?

The fact that the biggest military project by the US of all time is a rip off (actually they paid for the blueprints) of a piece of Russian hardware is worthy of a thread bump

Wow the west is doing a good job of keeping this under wraps
Thumb of rule; Jane’s is horrible 99% of the time. I am sure they were great back in the day,
I rather think that they are saying some things now that don’t fit the narrative that you are trying to drive. When they bash something Russian, you will be the first one to trot it out.
Also, why post that ****ty “Super Su-30MKI” picture? It is retarded and obviously completely fanboy made, it has nothing to do with the reality.

No news ? None ?
yall going ape **** over the 300 of 800 word article on Janes.
What else does it say? anyone have access to the rest?I, and most others on the board, personally felt India should’ve NOT bought the carrier and build their own and operate Rafales and LCAs off them.
and if they did that they would have the same problems and they would say they are unhappy with it.
Bigger means more parts and more complex problem. Think formation, logistic, assembly, quality control in regard to the increased complexity. This lead to lesser avaibiliy etc…
It’s less costly to put an F16 on the ramp than a B1.Then I mentioned the relaxed complexity of Ru aircraft to alleviate this problem slightly to an acceptable level in regard of being able to fulfill the mission.
The flanker seems to have found a sweet spot though. It is the biggest jet out there yet its the most nimble.

they are using fuel techniques. The Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers left the area at first, but came back for a second strike after the U.S. F/A-18 fighters went to refuel. The second attack killed several Syrian rebels attempting to provide medical support to the survivors of the initial one, officials said.
Why is anyone surprised by this ? Russia was invited there to fight not just ISIS but also any terror group who is fighting the Assad regime.
The US cannot just train and arm terrorists and set them against the Assad regime and expect the Russians not to bomb them.
If the US continues to support terror groups against Assad then Russia should start arming and aiding the Houthie rebels against Saudi Arabia
Kerry said that the US patience with Syria ends
Such hubris !
Russia has been an ally with Syria for longer than the US has been with Saudi Arabia. Russia was invited by the internationally recognized govt of Syria to aid them militarily. Russia’s air campaign is legal under international law. The US’s is not.
Be that as it may, the troll on this thread has not made one objective comment about the PAK FA. He is at the point where he is pushing the limits as to how far he can belittle Russia and the PAK FA without explicitly getting called out. That is what the paragraph about the “dumb bombs” was about. He was actually trying to make the case that he was smarter than Sukoi engineers and he was expecting to be taken seriously.
