^Not correct. What you said is typically correct. But not in this case. Russia is buying FX reserves with raw revenue.

The finance ministry has decided to replenish coffers and insulate the rouble by setting a budget rule.
According to the rule, the finance ministry will buy foreign currency when Russia’s crude blend Urals URL-E trades above $40 per barrel, the level factored into the budget. The higher the oil price, the bigger the forex purchases would be.

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said the finance ministry could spend around 2 trillion roubles ($35 billion) on foreign currency next year if Urals prices are at $54-55 per barrel.

“This would more than offset the envisaged reserves spending next year,” Siluanov said, adding that his ministry would increase foreign exchange purchases next year to level of up to 70 percent of non-oil and gas budget revenues from around 30-40 percent at present.

The central bank carries out these purchases for the finance ministry but does not consider them as interventions aimed at bringing the rouble to a certain level as the rouble has had a free-floating status since 2015.

Many are assuming the military posture has weakened because of the spending cuts. Since its not from a lack of funds, this is not true. The ability to ramp up military spending in the event of war is there. Reserves have climbed to 5th in the world in 2018.

Contrary to the unofficial stories in the western defense media, the last official disclosure coming from official sources was one of progress on the FGFA.

F-35 to India would be yet another F-35/S-400 combination conflict. Russia would probably get India in on the S-500 too.

India requires a 2 seater. Lockheed will never build a 2 seater F-35.

India requires build licensing for 5th gen products.

^They have an exact purpose and work started on them only after the US withdrew from ABM. You would say it was “bizarre chest thumping” regardless of what the weapon is.

^The translation to English wasn’t very clear apparently.

Russia started working on all of these weapons in 2004 after it failed to talk the US back into the ABM treaty. But some people seem to think that Russia is just starting on them now.

The Gripen manufacturer talks big about alleged stealth treatments and releases misleading RCS numbers about it but other than that, I’m not sure that theres anything stealth about this canarded out machine

Check your Google but I put Saab Gripen in the search and the next most popular word is Saab-Gripen-Stealth. So it has been an effective marketing campaign.

I personally think that the JF-17 has a lower RCS

Did someone really suggest that China bought the su 35 to use as aggressors ? Its usually inferior aircraft that are used for agressors. Its not just TVC. The su 35 has super cruise and 5th gen avionics.

My God. How dumb does Tillerson think we are ?

Assad gave up MORE chemical weapons than the US ever suspected that he even had. Yet he expects us to believe this nonsense.

China just pwned the Philippines there.
the International Court gave jurisdiction of that specific island to the Philippines, and China just disregarded it and did its thing.
Shows how powerless a world court can be.

The US made all the rules and set up shop in the area after the war. But China has earned the economic strength to throw its weight around in its own sphere. Philipines has also made overtures to China since that ruling. The Philipines can see the writing on the wall. Cant beat them, join them.

The F-15 is a copy of the Mig 31. The Mig 31 isn’t a copy of the F-14

The only copy talk that’s ever gone on with the F-14 is that the Russians made the intakes on the su 27 similar to the F-14
