Here’s the solution to the US/Iran nuclear issue.

1. Let Iran make nuclear weapons. We all know that there’s one country they’d love to use them on, and since it’s obliteration won’t affect the US in any way, shape, or form, go for it. Whatever. They aren’t anything special, nor do they hold a special UN mandate to be the only country in the region that does have nuclear weapons. Not that they care what the UN says anyway. Moving on.

2. Iran must allow US inspectors to monitor uranium enrichment. We won’t care about quantity, of course, or where they send it necessarily, just that we can identify the uranium as Iranian. That way if a bomb does go off, we can see if it was Iranian-sourced uranium or not.

3. If any Iranian nuclear weapon is used against US citizens or military forces, we will retaliate in kind with a strategic nuclear strike on Q’om and Tehran. That should provide a degree of deterrence against them handing al-Qaeda or al-Sadr nuclear material or a nuclear device.

4. Beyond that, open formal diplomatic and economic relations with Iran. We’ll reduce our military presence in the Gulf with the understanding that if Iran tries to blockade the Straits of Hormuz and affect world oil trade, we’ll make sure those straits are re-opened and remain that way indefinitely. We’d also obviously reserve the right to honor diplomatic agreements with other Gulf states (i.e. defense treaties).

There you have it. Iran has nukes, we aren’t getting blasted by them, and everyone is a lot happier with their general existance.

What exactly does that mean? Do you mean everything from F-5’s to Su-24’s?

Seems to me that to save costs the IRIAF should retire everything but the Su-24, F-14, MiG-29, F-4, F-5, and Su-25. All the others seem surplus to requirements. You use F-14’s and MiG-29’s for air defense with F-4’s and F-5’s providing backup. You use Su-24’s and F-4’s for long-range strike and anti-ship (plus the P-3 fleet). You use Su-25’s and F-5’s for general ground attack and close air support. Of course the new Iranian designed aircraft could eventually replace the F-5 fleet I suppose. I don’t know enough about them.

The most important aircraft I see though are the F-14’s with their AWG-9 radar and AIM-54 missile, the Su-24 with its potent long-range strike capability, and the F-4 with its nice multi-role combination that allows it to support the F-14 for air defense and the Su-24 for various ground pounding duties and anti-ship strikes. The RF-4 fleet is also invaluable for recon.

Iran has no chance against 100s of F22 , Awacs, Sattelites and so on! And who is that brave pilot to fly when the sky is full of enemy awacs and F22’s!
And I am sure 90% of those iranian fighters die on ground before doing anything special.

Iran tested the missile which is called “Fajer-3”.. It’s arabic name which means “The Dawn-3”
This missile can avoid radar… But there is no information to insure, is it really stealth? or it flies low (under radar’s waves)?
However, there is information says that this missile is a Ballistic missile and has a range of about 2000 Km or a little more.

The information says it is “Radar Goriez” it means it avoid radar so no stealth maybe something like those cruise missiles which fly on blind spots of radar ?!!
