The Tutor 114108 was moved in the storage hangar and the cockpit section tutor is providing entertainment for the kids in the main bldg..
Cheers..
Here you go….
I would guess that most museum goers would really not notice the post war mods to that Lancaster…it has held up pretty good for a restoration that was done I am guessing in the early 60’s…
Apparently it was converted a 10S model in the 50’s.
Yes the Beau had spend many a hard Canadian winters parked outside there..so I was surprised/glad to see that someone had been into the Beau as the panel removals would lead one to believe…
The last ones…
Hispano HA-1112 Buchon 4K-114 – was for sale but no takers yet
Bristol Beaufighter TT.10 RD867 – some panels have been removed for inspection I guess..looks pretty rough still…
DH Comet Mk 1XB 5301 Cockpit – quite the time capsule inside
Fairey Battle IT R7384 ‘35’ – a rare aircraft…just wish it was displayed in a better place for pictures..
Vickers Viscount 757 CF-THI…needs polish…
Consolidated Canso 11087 – needs paint…
A great collection for sure…
a few more..
Bell 47G Sioux 1387…I think this one was in storage I had not seen it before
Helicopters
Canadair CL-30 21574
Avro Canada CF100 Mk5 100757
DH Vampire F3 17074 – mounted on new pedestal
McDonnell Voodoo CF101B 101025
Grumman G-44A Widgeon CF-ODR – was on display at CWHM for many years…
Waco_WKS-7 C-FLWL – arrived summer 2008
North American B-25J 5244
North American P-51D 9298 – It should be displayed in the main hangar…just my opinion…
Yes it would appear that lack of drainage seems to be an issue on those panels for sure….
Sorry Peter I didn’t drop by the Cadet Voodoo for a close up inspection this time …..but I did note that she was still parked in the same place as before…
I was hoping to take a picture or two of the CC-177s that were parked on base but they were outa camera range…

** Trenton Revisited **
Just thought I would share a few pictures taken last Friday of the Halifax now that the floor in the hangar has been completed and the area is open to visitors again…
And a few last ones of their Voodoo….
Andrew
How open is Vince to having visitors tour his colllection/farm these days?
Thanks for posting the pictures of the two Voodoo’s at the O’Connor Farm….they do indeed seem pretty rough but perhaps they could be a source of hard to find parts still…
Andrew..
Peter are you looking to adopt # 101046? 😀
Andrew
Thanks I really appreciate all the insights into the larger fixed lens and the links to your online pictures..
Andrew
TJ,
I use similar same settings pretty much on my 70-200 F2.8 when shooting without the 1.7 X converter…sometimes my camera gets confused on goes out off focus on a fast past by a spitfire or mustang but I guess it all comes with practice…
Cheers
Andrew
Thanks for all the insights…one last question is regards to operating the bigger lens..
I am assuming the that 300 F2.8 is a pretty fast acting lens…what settings do you tend to go with when photographing props and/or jets in flight…do you set your Nikon up with a shutter priority, aperture priority or program mode or perhaps full manual…
Andrew
I think if they could be allowed to keep just a rope fence separating the active taxi areas and aphron of the airport from the spectators areas that would be very nice for photographers and fans alike…they do need something in place as kids and some kid adults just have trouble remembering where they are allowed to go and where they are not go….
A few supervised tours of the visiting aircraft on the active only parts of airport would be great..I would have loved to see the An-2 Colt up close and in the flesh..
