What a bloody waste. This absolutely makes my blood boil it really does. 😡

I know these aircraft and good things could have been done with both of them. Why the hell do these divers need them? Surely they can do whatever fiddling about they do just as well with a sunken Ford Cortina.

They use them as attractions for trainee divers to look at. It keeps them interested in the sport and it’s better to look at than a lot of old junk. You never know, one of those trainees could end up love looking at aircraft underwater that he/she goes off to find WWII historical wrecks in fresh water. Every cloud has a silver lining if you look hard enough.

A copy of the halifax photo was given to me by a now retired member of BA groundcrew at Aldergrove. Its a photo of a photo ( no digital technology available in the 80’s when I got it) I’ve no idea of its original source unfortunately. I’m assuming a member of the salvage operation took it, being postwar with less restrictions possibly. I’ll investigate a liitle further myself to see what info I can get.

A lot of you have asked for a photo and I found this one. It’s a photo set up for Mums family album but does show that I scrub up quite well. I have been told I look about twelve years old but it’s just the good skin care and Yorkshire air. Was taken about four years ago.

I saw a website a while ago where a meeting was arranged in Holland where there was a webcam on the corner so they got a photo of the scammer.
