That’s classic “making it fit” behaviour; part of how cold reading works. It’s good that you were able to spot it. Bloody frauds.

I was mindlessly surfing the web the other day and came across this website about Electronic Voice Phenomena. Think I might give it a go. Got a camcorder and an old TV.

Don’t worry Blair and the rest of the Labour scum will be kicked out fairly soon!

I know the wheels were not overly loose on the Vampire…. Probably could have been useful to help moving some of the aircraft around in the past!!

    I couldn’t even push a motorbike easily. 😀

Evidence? For any of these “hauntings”? And no, “I thought something moved” or “I felt weird” do not count as evidence. Unless you had a dodgy curry the night before, in which case it’s evidence you should get to the nearest khazi.

The psychic said the haunted chopper was the pilot and when he was asked for the name of the pilot he suddently changed his story to a survivor who was rescued by the chopper.

NEAM itself is not haunted. There have been several stories relating to the pub nearby which has experienced all manner of glasses and things shooting off shelves and flying to the floor. A bit of research found that an airman had been killed there (it was the officers mess) and it was suggested that his ghost was the culprit. I do know that everything was spiritless until regular ghost watches came and started doing their stuff at NEAM then all manner of things were discovered (apparantley!). Quite why the Whirlwind should be haunted I don’t know. I’m always wary of things like this where people place their hands on things and then strange things happen – there always seems to be an obvious reason that is often overlooked. Mind I touched the JP there once and it started rolling once I let go and if someone hadn’t stopped it …….

First thing I did when the Vampire started moving was pull my torch out and shine it underneath. There wasn’t anyone there. Didn’t see any apparitions or anything like that but the aircraft definately moved a couple of feet. I’m really small and light and I dont’ think by leaning against the wing would have moved it at all. I’m sure there is a logical explanation and I still have my sceptics hat on but it definately moved.

If knowledgeable posters working in the field may not post here in good faith, what then? Blue Diamond cannot have it both ways. Note: it is the position as put that is nonsensical. As usual, I make no personal remark about the character, origins or beliefs of the poster of it, which are irrelevant.

On the other hand, sniping, baiting, spite, headkicking, and cyber-bullies are just barely worth the time it takes to give them a brief and terse dismissal. Repeat performances are worth even less: at that point, the Ignore function can rapidly become of commendable utility.

I couldn’t agree more (that’s a first 😀 ). I have spoken to a few people who are very knowledgable who just don’t think it’s worth their time even logging on here.

If there is an aircraft said to be haunted at the NEAM, then it really must be the Canberra cockpit, stories abound and it has been well documented on TV and in Newspapers.
Am I correct in saying the cockpit resides at the NEAM ?????.

The Canberra cockpit doesn’t reside at NEAM but there is a haunted aircraft which is an ex RN Whirlwind helo.

I went to one of the ghost watches at NEAM a few weeks ago and I was leaning against the Vampire that they have there and it moved and when I pulled away it continued to move and nobody was touching it anywere.

I think you have put this rather well. I tried to explain this mentality on another thread ref. Stirlings being buried at Kasfereet in Egypt. I know of Merlins being dropped down mineshafts in Cornwall , Sunderlands being flown once, then scuttled etc. Certainly some of the stuff was retrospectively recovered, typically in the 50’s, but there will still be material left. But as for its condition………..

I have heard that the Catalinas that are supposed to be in Lough Erne had only about 50 to 60 hours on them and some only the transit hours from the US.
