    PS, Kfeltenberger, the Typhoon canopy opens upwards.

    Hmm…I thought I had seen a pic where it hinged on the left side. Oh well, I’ve been wrong before, wrong now, and probably wrong sometime in the future. 😀

    Iranian F-14 was downed by Mirage F1EQ. Israeli F-15 was downed by a MiG-21MF. (In the latter case th emissile did not have enough explosive power to destroy the Eagle and the croppled aircraft made it back to base and landed safely)

    Then the Israeli F-15 really wasn’t downed, now was it? 😀

    Yup, just recently found out that the M2/M3 Bradley MICV is also a BAe product…

    It’s a BAw product due to BAe acquiring the company that originally designed and built the M2/3; BAe didn’t develop it on their own.

    Thanks for all the answers! I’m was talking with some friends about the Rafale, and this was one of the deficiencies that we came up with. My original thought was that MBDA would modify the MICA into an ARM, but your input has pointed me in a different direction.
